She could have competed as a naturalized South African of Mozambique origin since she's probably aware of the truth that her mother is from Mozambique just like her marriage status that's another serious controversy!

Her so-called 'Nigerian' identity too MUST be established. There's no Adetsina as a word in Igbo yet it is reported that her father is Igbo! And the Yoruba do not have such name as Adetsina. The closest Yoruba name to it is Adeshina so I , like many other Nigerians, are even doubtful of the Nigerian identity the bitter South Africans want to impose on her in derision of Nigeria. There's no way her father is Igbo as claimed on her Wikipedia page and her surname will be Adetsina or Adeshina, a Yoruba name! This lady is not Nigerian until it's proven.

The Nigerian Miss Universe should get to the bottom of it before they embarrass Nigeria! She's not qualified and any of the Miss Universe Nigeria will challenge it in a Nigerian court. She's South Africa's liability and asset, it should remain so and if she desires to be a Nigerian, it's not automatic and it will not be because South Africans bullied us as if their trash is now our own treasure. She's no trash neither is she a Nigerian treasure!
