Jokerman:Methinks it was a shade at both the Nigerian relay team and Chidimma Adetshina. That stay your lane comment aptly applies to both circumstances when you also consider the recent timing of these events. The reference to Tinubu seems forced mostly by anti-Tinubu sentiments in Nigeria. Ramaphosa at least tried to correct the impression at the time by personally visiting Tinubu directly. Also the timing gap makes it unlikely that the dig was aimed at Tinubu. Regardless, Ramaphosa's comment was very petty and unbecoming of a President. Don't read stupid meanings anywhere! As a president, he would have no reason to be aiming a dig unless he's petty and have nothing before him—I hardly want to believe that. Face your problems, Nigerians and be productive and grow. Take accountability and don't throw all blames only the way of the president or those in government. The inept athlete who trained all his/her lives knowing the rules yet entered another lane should not be spared. It's why people do rubbish and get away here; they know the government will get the blame instead and we're cool. He buys goods cheap, dollars go up, he sells high and up. He buys goods, dollar goes down, he sells up still. Both ways govt get the blame. I bought bottle groundnuts 1k at a time, now it's 2k+ despite its season. It's govt. Bought honeybeans 7k about last two months, last week I bought it 11.5k. I asked why, she told me the vehicle bringing beans got spoilt along the way, then it took longer days to reach town/market—and as such I have to financially account for their ineptness to secure a worthy transit means by paying more.
