The loan is not for them to live like kings. It’s majorly to pay their schools fee and still have a stipend to play around with. The loan should also not be too much so that the burden of repayment won’t be much. The N20k stipend is minus the school fee that is paid to the school directly.

Again, it’s a loan. If you don’t need it, don’t take it.

Thanks for clarifying this as some people don't know that the N20k stipend is exclusive of the school fee paid to the school by the govt.

We should look at the brighter side.

The burden of education taken away from the parents to the student. Whose future the education depends on.
It should make the student serious in school sef.

Even if I was getting 5k or 10k in school I know the difference it would have made.

We should try and appreciate this effort by the government.

As a student I used 40 to 50k to shop and I go buy Mayonnaise...butter...Nutella.. milo tin..milk tin...ketchup...crate of egg...5 tubers if big yam...sausages...5kilo of chicken inside my fridge...5 congos of rice..2 Congo of beans...3 Congo of garri ...1 carton of indomie onion flavour small size...10 pieces of spag...fill my 2 gas...3kg and 6kg...buy 5 litres of palm oil..5 litres of groundnut oil...1 pack of know...10 to 15 pieces of onion...1 pack of plastic coke 1 Park of malt...good old days my gf then now wife will come and prepare delicacies for me..my landlord was alhaji popoola
