I am just curious and wanting to sample opinions and ask a few questions like; Why did you go to school? By school I mean Polyechnics or Universities. Why spend four years in a school and can you share with me the goals you hoped to achieve, with your education? Also, your course of study, can you share a particular reason why you selected that course?

Now with the benefit of hindsight, can you say you achieved your educational goals? What would you have done differently if presented with the chance of a do-over?

Ok I see where you are coming from. So after secondary school when you where probably 17 or 18 years old, you want to tell me you had the environment in mind at that early age. It is very hard to believe and I will document my own experience very soon.

I think those that learnt a trade/skill impact the society better... I mean those that have selfemployment skill

That is where I am going with this topic, how skills are acquired viz a viz the university education in Nigeria. The overall goals of education and how to avoid pitfalls in educational planning.
This is a topic I hold dear to heart and will add more flesh after my work in a moment.

i applied for architecture because i dont hv physics in my waec they gave geography, i proceeded and studied it, it has been 4years since i graduated i hv never seen a job opening looking for someone who studied geography. school na scam

i think what education does is like bringing more clarity and it broadens one's score for imagination. Like looking at a far object,then seeing it through a telescope. Thats what i feel education does.. But education isn't limited to the 4 walls a building and can be applied to every art of life.
But learning a skill has impacted my life more. Tag me when u write that post

at the end what do we gain from this?

Here in Nigeria, you don't often get the course you applied for. Sometimes they give you a different course.

You turn done the course and start writing jamb every year. and at home, when you are yet to gain admission, different allegations and the insults start coming. Then you just feel instead of sitting at home, let me settle for anything they give me jare
