Heathrow is a super busy airport. Because slots are available at Lagos and Abuja doesn't mean slots are available at Heathrow. He should say why a slot was denied. I'm guessing Air Peace does not make enough flights to have a spot at Heathrow.

This is remarkably good and welcoming.

Don't mind them ,it's only the ordinary people that will suffer ,also Air peace air fares will increase if they land at Heathrow as the landing charge is different from Gatwick that is why Budget airlines prefer smaller airports .

Yes, you're right. And if that continues for a while, the travellers would have no option than to boycott british airlines entirely and that's a WIN.

That would leave em no choice than agreeing to the direct flights of our national carrier's to Heathrow, considering the inflows of travellers using their airlines to nigeria.

The target customers are Nigerians flying in and out . The market is huge.

In the grand scheme of things I doubt BA makes that much from the Nigerian route. It only has 2 routes to and from Nigeria. BA has over 100 routes into USA alone for example.

BA/Virgin can pay for premium slots in lagos and Abuja, its not like they're fighting for space in a busy airport

Heathrow is managed privately, they can't force them to find a slot for Nigerian airline, the airline will have to pay for premium slots- which most likely will make their Lagos-London price uncompetitive

Air peace is a private business. Nigeria don cast, they have more important traffic inflow to allot Heathrow.
