this is only obtainable if you had the means to pay but refused to pay while you were alive. It won't be held against you if you didn't have the finance to pay. Also, the punishment is worse if you had the money to pay and refused to pay because you felt the person you were owing will be unable to harm you, such as a big man owing a poor man and doing shakara because the poor man can't deal with him

Islamically, we're commanded to document loans like any other financial transactions and have witnesses and inform especially next of kins and families. If death comes, your next of kin, family or loved ones should pay for you, if they love you.

In Islam, we are taught that all debt will be settled either here or in the hereafter. May Allah forgive me for any error.

If you're a student, collect this loan, I promise you that you will not pay a penny back. It's your share of national Cake. Tinubu tenure is one term, incoming present will cancel this nonsense. Help us ask Mr tinubu, has those students who have graduated many years back with their hard earned money get employed ? has the few 2 percent that get employment after graduation adequately payed? Is there any hope that those who will graduate later will get employment and adequately payed?

As he don't want to pay back the loan, he will achieve nothing in this life.

If it's outside Nigeria, the guarantor who most times are your parents will continue payment.

You don't throw away a good idea because of the challenges. You address the challenges. This is a new program at the lowest maturity level. Let them run it and improve on it.

Many indigent students drop out of school and most people don't care. This is a lifeline for them. That is a bigger consideration than loan repayment concerns.

Someday a new set of youths who got education via the loan will champion the need to always pay back so others could benefit.

Later, government can rethink the process and include endowment funds where individuals & organizations can help contribute to the loan scheme.

Challenges should not kill a great vision.

I am not advocating that the policy should be stopped because we will always have indigent people around us says the Bible.
My concern is the name given to it "loan". When loan is given, you have an attached obligations and terms of repayment, hence, it has become a burden that may affect you in the future, that you're owing the government.
