There is a saying you kill one to warn a thousand but you see these night August 4th, 2024,  I Have kill close to thousand just to warn one with my bear hand.

It all started with me underrating the enemy after all for the past three days have been in Port Harcourt city they didn't disturb me every body maintain there lane. Till that day They said we are moving to (*) LGA incase the protesters turn voilent we can be able to intercept. They said only weapons and ammo  as the Caretaker Committee Chairperson will take care of our feeding is only 12hour top operation cause to save space in the vehicle that will convey us. Some of my colleagues till carry there Tent and cooking instrument to avoid story that touch. Me I didn't carry anything as they said we go to the (*) LGA in the morning by evening we are back to camp.

Getting there story change oh. What my eyes saw and ear heard you won't believe. No isn't what your thinking. The CTC welcome us, provide small refreshments and bottle water for us, time reach for us to go back to camp it was here story start to change. First the CTC told us that "our commanding officer said he want to assist the him to save fuel instead of having to pick and drop us everyday we will create another mini camp at his (*) LGA" , you could understand my shock too. What about were we are going to sleep accommodation he said and quote " we are special forces, we only sleep in bush or desert. Don't waste your money for accommodating us". Is now I understand why the CTC was just happy shining teath and  buy dry gin and palmwine for boys. I suspect that they have already release funds for our feeding and transport or feeding and accommodation but since Commander said "no thank you we are special forces" that CTC will just pocket the money and change.

Like play play we create mini camp, my colleagues that carry tent and cooking instrument were just laughing at us and saying keep believing your Government they will soon make one Naira to  one Dollar.  At least the CTC give me new student mattress and bedsheets (I don't think anyone as disvirgin the bed). When night came unpon our camp that when they start attacking me, first they send in squad to check my reaction and strength, then next unit,  in the next one hour have killed over two hundreds or less, others flee the scene to warn other I assume, not knowing they went for reinforcement to avenge there slain member.

Blood, more blood and blood. I checked the time just 1800hour me that is thinking it is at least 2300hour few hours to daybreak with the rate I have killed them they refused to give up and so I kept on killing with my bear hand. No reinforcement for me am all alone in these dangerous situation. My eyes were heavy with sleep the mattress called my name but I could not answer the call cause to do so will label me as a coward.

I didn't know when dawn approaches and the morning birds start singing praise to God at these points I was on the verge to collapse twelve hours non stop fighting, my fingers were swollen and smelling fresh blood, my hands ache in pain for the war I wage with them. Bloodstain and bodies litter my side ( what a mess). Even to all those places I mention in the first paragraph have never seen such a relentless and hardened enemies before. Even when I was at Sokoto doing training they still respected me but these new breed of blood sucking demons just wanted to kill me. Finally the last of them came to pay is last respect to his fallen member or avenge them or gather intel, I didn't give her such chance. With all the vextation of last night I send her to her early grave not before she whisper " I Anopheles stephensi, will be back". Good cause I will be waiting.

I finally join the morning birds in singing praise to God for giving me victory over the deady mosquito Anopheles stephensi.
