Falling due to protest undecided tomatoes season. Not because of inflation
Is inflation a cause or effect here? Why not keep quiet when you know you don't know what you're talking about??

Without the extreme gullibles, The lesser gullibles wouldn't be feeling like kings and queensgrin

POVERTY & MISERY have finished the lives of many people in Nigeria🤣🤣🤣

Inflation dropped, Yet i bought Bread at N2000, Sardine 6 pieces N1500 each, and 1 Crate of egg at N5000.

Lots of 40+ 50+ 60+ years old men and their adult children roaming about the streets looking haggard.

The inflation have truly dropped🤣🤣🤣

News like this don't sell. What people want to hear is that one cup is now 10k.

Unfortunately when another seller that suppose to sell his own at 100 naira sees the post of 10k, he/she quickly jerk his market up to 10k as well.

Social media is playing a direct role here.
that's true

Good news... Don't know why some people decide to be bitter about this
No one is bitter about anything here. The perishable commodities are in season and supply seems greater than demand he certainly there will be a fall in price.

Oga park well jare. It is due to harvesting season so supply at this time outstrips demand so naturally price will fall.

Stop wasting your time.

The gullible fooools would start diiing on the streets soon. It's just a matter of time. Saw a lot of homeless fooools sleeping around Ikeja bridge yesterday while driving home from an outing.

I just looked away.

Irish potatoe crashed by more than 50%
This is a lie. A basket of Irish potatoes sold for 9k early this month and has dropped to around 6,000 last week. That is a decline of like 30% month-on-month. About this time last year, same basket goes for about 4k which means it has not dropped year-on-year

Bitterness could be a curse please be careful. The report stated 22 months which is almost 2 years. Are you suggesting that there wasn't any harvest season in the past 22 months? Wasn't there harvest season last year? Please let you and your Agulu packaged messiah learn from Atiku how to play the opposition game. You don't have to criticize and be miserable on everything. or every good news. You are bound to loose more elections by acting as a bitter and hateful people. Don't let most Nigerians see you as enemies of the country.

Re: Nigeria’s Inflation Drops, First Time Since 2022 by just2endowed: 5:54pm On Aug 15, 2024
this is a mockery. i wonder why inflation will be calculated every month and the previous month inflation is not added to the current one to give true picture of everythingh,.

This is what am trying to explain,
assuming price of garri went in Jan went from 100 to 120...........this give a 20% inflation rate.

In Feb, price of garri went from 120 to 150.............thats another 25%

that means in two month, price of good have increased by 45% add on.

why must Feb be use as base of measuring inflation rate, instead of adding up all the inflation rate in each month
Re: Nigeria’s Inflation Drops, First Time Since 2022 by ElevationD: 6:05pm On Aug 15, 2024
I think the drop in inflation is not caused by any real government effort. We all know that we have arrived the harvest season for farmers, so we expect farm products to begin to arrive in cities in large scale between now and October.

Again, we all know that the price of flour has not reduced, not to talk of oil, sugar and petrol.

While cause are farmers inability to farm due to insecurity, foreign exchange and climate change.
