It has to be among the best Tv show of all time

I actually started this when it was airing weekly but i had to drop it 5 episodes into S1 because of how slow paced it was, only for me to see years later that it was been touted as one of the best shows ever 😩.

so i duly copped it again recently, and i am still having the same problem, so i ask, does it get better with the pacing, is it more of political espionage rather than action?

It’s slow paced but still a wonderful series.

It is a really damn good political thriller which is slow in the first season but takes off very rapidly in the second season and beyond. It has a high rating for a reason

It's a compilation movie of the last two special chapters...

According to the director, the last 2 specials were supposed to be released together as a movie length...
But due to production issues, it was divided into two separate special episodes

I think HOTD needs time. The first few seasons of it's predecessor, GOT, were very horrible, bland, and boring. Infact, I almost gave up. GOT didn't start packing steam until the third season, that is when it became interesting and enticing.

Will always love how Horikoshi has a significant role for all his characters to play, no matter how small it seems. An underappreciated feature I really love to see in stories.

Lemillion has really been one of the stars of this arc so far. A beautifully written character.

And Yuuki Hayashi has just been outdoing himself every week on the soundtrack for this season.

My Hero Academia is undeniably one of the GOATs and that's a hill I'm very happy to die on

Exactly, you nailed it. The characters in GOT were all likable, you see yourself rooting for a whole lot of characters. When it comes to the wittiest character, you just have to love Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark is a perfect depiction of revenge is a dish best served cold, Daenerys Targaryen the perfect definition of an overachiever, our golden boy Jon Snow, then if you're looking for a mentor to walk you through the ropes of how to become a good villian, Cersei Lannister is your best bet, Theon Greyjoy the rude je..rk. Ramsay Bolton the psy..chotic power hungry little socio..path, the list is endless.

The characters in HOTD are just there, there's nothing likable or remarkable about them so far. Otto Hightower who is supposed to be the primary antagonist was MIA all through season 2. Take out Aemond Targaryen now and the show dies a sudden dea.th.

And some of the notable quotes from GOT I still remember it, that's to tell how remarkable the show was. Winter is coming, Leave one Wolf alive and the sheep are never safe, My watch has ended, A linnister always pays his debt.

GOT set the bar really high, I'm not sure any show would ever be it's equal or be better than it.
