i dislike the feature intensely i use whatsapp to communicate. if i want information i will use a different tool. it is a bloody nuisance that gets in the way of what i installed whatsapp for. and there does not seem to be a way to properly disable it

The AI is trained in natural language.
Unfortunately for many, natural language means English.
This is a cat. This is a mouse..
Once you start using slangs, bad spellings, pidgin English, the AI will lose your meaning or interprete a different meaning.
All the answers it gets are already on the Internet. It just presents the most relevant summary in a proper English back to you. So it is not inventing anything new.

Do you know how to use custom instructions on chatgpt?

If you don't know how to use it, learn it, it makes a big difference in the quality of output AI can give you.

This doesn't mean it won't hallucinate, but it will reduce the frequency to a very minimal level.

This Meta AI is absolutely incredible. It even decodes the Nigerian pidgin English and gives a feedback in standard English. That's mad sick!

it depends on what you use it for......last premier league game of the season, I asked it to to give me straight winning based on club form......iswr all d games clicked....na me use my hand pick say aston villa go beat crystal palace, AI suggested crystal palace would win base on current form....na so d ticket tear oh.....imagine predicting close to 10 games correctly grin
