Like I said you are daft. It’s been all over the internet and media space that the presidential jet had been purchased including pictures of the jet and the registration number of the jet. This is not news. It is only news to the ignorant.

What I saw was that it was being purchased, not that it had been concluded. And yes I saw pictures as well - none of that suggested it was concluded. At all events, even if it was, then I missed it, I have other things in my life, and thank you if that makes me daft.

For the record I am not and was in support of the purchase of the jet and if I dig up my post history I said so several times.

I have seen that claim being widely circulated but I don't think any serious person should take rely on what is currently being circulated.

For one, 90% of reports I have seen are relying on the original report by the Premium Times which itself is scanty as to details. When exactly was this jet supposedly acquired? They should be able to tell us that much.

Like I said I condemned the purchase at the time because

1) it’s bad optics
2) they claim a 15 yr old plane is not airworthy then they go and purchase a 10yr old plane (albeit a bigger plane (A330) for the price of a new version of the old plane (737 or A320) .

Even before the jet had been announced I knew we had bought the plane because while some were claiming the pictures were fake and doctored, I went to the airline registration database and it was clearly stated 5N-FGA, A330, 10 years old. You can’t register a plane if it doesn’t belong t you.
