Of course No. Every human and Nigerian has the right to belong to the group of big boys. Salvation is personal my friend. As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is. |

helinues:I can bet you that this project is a project of some real estate managers that the local government chairman just key in. He may not even have a dime contributed to it or just few percentage of government input. From the advert it has given the direction of the brain behind the estate, the Sterling Heights Construction Company. No doubt it is a good and fine project but don't hype the chairman until the truth about the project begins to manifest. |

amodu:Tinubu's vision. First governor to start LCDA. Most local government and LCDA chairmen are doing great in Lagos, compare to other states. Lagos is the only state that maintained local government process and autonomy since 1999. God will guide him to turnaround the economy for the betterment of all. He is a visionary leader. First governor to create free trade zone, even before the federal government. Tinubu actually started first in many aspect. He conceived the BRT lanes. |

LadyExcellency:Some of you need just a single opinion to lay bare your lack of exposure and decrepit reasoning. Low-cost and subsidised housing is one of the social and infrastructural benefits citizens of any functional society should enjoy from a responsible government. You read and hear about mortgages being paid on apartments in Western societies, which affords the ordinary working citizen the opportunity to own a home by paying monthly instalments, don't you? Or did they tell you the mortgages are being paid to your clan head? Next time you have nothing reasonable to contribute to a discourse, close that sewage you call a brain and spare us the agony of swallowing your buffoonery. Even the dim-witted cretins liking your dumb comment ought to be beaten properly for sampling such idiocy! |

Cxmanluvs:How will he not be against it, when his state governor can't build something like this. The chairman will give most houses to low income earners in the local government and deduct some fraction from their salaries every month. That is how most chairmen in Lagos do. Let the guy be bold enough, to tell us his state. |

Not that I'm hating oo, but how will this solve the housing issues we are currently facing? When will this people start thinking about the common masses and low income earners? If you check the price of 1 unit, it might cost over 40 to 50 million naira. While this is a good development, they should also priotise the welfare of the common people, low income earners, and the middle class. Low income earners can't even rent a studio apartment in Lagos centers anymore.I think the government should build an apartments, that contains 1 rooms, and studio apartments, and rent it out for low income earners in Lagos, this will help in reducing homelessness, and improve the general wellbeing of the common man. |

WorldRichest:This is to show the kind of mentality you have. While I give kudos to the LG chairman for that, such project is what individuals do in everywhere without much ado. Come to Anambra and I will take you around to see such projects done by private individuals. In Onitsha for instance, ordinary business man in the main market has 5 storey building into 15 places; uncountable. It all show the level of your exposure. Even in Lagos, there are countless of expensive estates built by private individuals. So I don't know where your comparison is coming from. |

LadyExcellency:Yes it's is private individual job but the issue is most individuals don't have money to build modern huge building that can cater for 100s or thousands of families, rather individuals will buy one or two plots and build bungalows for one family unfortunately Lagos doesn't have that luxury of lands for everyone to be picking one or two plots Way out is for government to build house estates, one building can have 50-100 flats that cater for 100 family using less land resources That way the houses deficit is marginally reduced Lagos should find ways to liaise with owners of places where plenty old bungalows are built, demolish them and build 10-20 story building to cater for more people, as compensation 5 or as deem appropriate flats can be given to the initial land owner, while government sell the rest at installments to average citizens |

This is very commendable. I have been following the developmental stride of this Chairman as well as that of Kosofe. So, the problem is not the political parties but the Leaders of these Parties and our weak institutions. amodu: |

imagine with the meagre internally Generated Revenue by a mere LCDA...What would this fantastic chairman would have done if given the accrued allocation directly from the Federation account ...Grassroots governance is the way forward.... |

[quote author=amodu post=131535958]The Chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo Wrote: [b]Last year, when I commissioned the 101 units at Greenwich Gardens, I made a promise: we’re just getting started! Tomorrow marks a major milestone as we commission Raymond Estate and Sterling Heights, offering a combined 170 units of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom apartments. To be commissioned by The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. This is nice though , I remember Agboyi well during my formative years in alapere, I suspect this land they built on was the popular sand field area , where we used to go play football. It was a very vast land, the sand looked desertlike and when it was sunny , your feet are scorched. Agboyi itself is a very big place . Then we had Agboyi 1, Agboyi 2 and 3 . Don’t know about now though. |
