Any sensible person would hire mad corporate lawyers n instruct them to find out all the assets n liabilities of the position he is going to inherit. That BAT's team didn't do their job of this, couldn't possibly be d problem of Zhongshan.

To be fair to BAT, he is not a lawyer n wouldn't have known about all these deals n how the China-Nigeria Bilateral relationship ties him to the liabilities of his state governments.

But like I said, BAT didn't cause d problem but BAT is 100% responsible for the fallout. This attempt of dissociating him from this saga is an argument you use to confuse d illiterates.

You are the ones shouting embarrassment, even the FG can never be embarrassed by this. Have you seen thieves being embarrassed before? It's an embarrassment to sane Nigerians but never one to the rogue Governments of Nigeria at all levels.

Permanent Secretaries sacked. He later complained when he realised the sacked Perm Secs would continue to receive their salaries for life.

Revoked the naming of Mike Adenuga stadium, which made the national sport icon embarrassed and withdrew the philanthropic commitment to maintain the sport facilities

Revoked the naming of Kensington Adebutu ICT Poly. Later realised the Billionaire was the one paying salaries of the entire body of staff and structures of the institution. Of course the embarrassed billionaire withdrew his philanthropic gestures

Scrapped the TASUED, the first University of Education in Nigeria. A fully autonomous, one of the most populous institutions in Nigeria that had become one of the most financially independent institution in the state.

Revoked the Agro Cargo licence inspite all resources committed and financial commitment of the foreigners to build the first of its kind Airport city in Africa.

Revoked Dangote refinery, despite investment committed. It was the most shocking of all cancellations. Dangote preferred the Ogun State terrain. His revelations and Amosun's explanations was more troubling.

Nigeria might be in for more shock when other marginalised investors of Amosun, the Canceller General of Ogun State government begin to show up. The man knew nothing about the Executive power, wielded it as much as possible to the detriment of the state, for ethnic scores.

One Governor whether PDP or APC came signed Olokola Free trade zone contract, Dangote refinery contract, Agro Cargo Airport city, Mike Adenuga to help develop sport facilities, Adebutu to help develop ICT institutions.

Another whether PDP or APC came on board revoked all contracts. Investment withdrawn to Lagos and other conducive climes.

Did you read the chilling experience of the Chinese entrepreneurs in the hands of a Governor Secretary and random Policemen. Locked in cells with common criminals, assaulted and expelled from the country without charges.

signing the contract was not the cause of the problem, unlawful termination of the contract after the said company has invested huge capital, was a breach of contract terms. you don't breach a valid givt contract just because u were not the one that signed it.

President Tinubu needs to immediately seize some Chinese assets in Nigeria before talks of settlement begins, we need this to negotiate. Never go to negotiations' table limping, you won't come out ok, let alone strong. There will be noise up and down, ignore them, there will never be a time without noise from the enemie, they will scream their heads off for nothing. This happened to president Tinubu because they know how Yoruba handle things with docility and president Tinubu must shock them all. It was pdp that signed the contract but it was APC that cancel the contract and as usual gave inhumane treatment to the management staff of the company who eventually seek judgement outside the shore of this nation and got it .... somehow PO is youf headache in all of this

Read the news very well, it wasn't Amosun's secretary but Gbenga's secretary. They were the ones that caused that assault on the Chinese man.
The contract was entered into during Gbenga Daniel's regime. Adekunle Amosun put final pen on the paper to seal the contract while Dapo Abiodun myopically revoked the contract illegally without following due diligence.
Meaning these three unintelligent and enemies of Ogun State:
Gbenga Daniel
Adekunle Amosun and
Dapo Abiodun caused the problem that has caused international embarrassment on the nation as a whole.
Why FG is involved is because of bilateral trade relation between Nigeria and China. All contractual agreement and obligations are binding on the nation as a whole rather than the micro state involved.
The best they can do now is to go on their knees and beg the firm authority and seek for out of the court settle with Nigerian government taken all responsibility to upset any damage and debt incurred in the contract scheme.

Do you think this case is a case of Nigerian firm and FG, where the FG can manipulate the court and have their way. This issue has gone beyond what you think, any untold move against the Chinese firm will have negative effect on Nigeria bilateral standing and that may give the court to liberty to revoke many Nigeria assets in the domicile country. Always put in mind that Nigeria is a developing nation and can stand alone but still need all foreign input and impact.
