COMRADES, why I'm asking this question is that, few days ago, when the minister of information visited Arise TV on a media familiarisation tour, on the High table were the chairman of the corporation, the minister, and other two persons. To my greatest surprise, I saw Dr Ruben Abati sitting in the midst of the audience together with Rufai, Vimbai etc, raising his hands to ask those on the high table a question. Then I asked myself, is this not the man who was very powerful during president Jonathan's reign? So, today he is a worker/commoner on Arise TV FEMI ADESINA; Adesina is the immediate past spokesman for president Buhari, after serving his principal for eight consecutive years, he has returned to SUN NEWSPAPER to continue from where he has stopped LAOLU AKANDE; Laolu, was the spokesperson of vice president Osinbanjo AKA 'Starboy', now he is the anchor of the 'FROM THE SOURCES' on Channels STEVE AYORINDE; Steve was a commissioner of information in Lagos State, but today he is the co presenter of the Morning Show on Arise TV, every Saturday 8-10 am Etc Why after occupying such exalted office, you'll not establish your own media outfit, instead you will choose to work for someone else? Or is that the office of the media adviser/assistant not lucrative?

One thing is common amongst these individuals: they are not career politicians. They had jobs long before they were called to work as professionals, and after the tenure of their masters, they returned back to their jobs. Simple |

In the real sense of it, these are not really lucrative positions. |

Do you see the mindset of an average Nigerian. So because they occupied visible positions, they should have stolen public funds to establish their own outfit. Did you bother to know the real remunerations attached to those offices? Do you think if our past presidents, governors, ministers etc don't steal public funds, they will become instant billionaires after leaving office. Go and find out what becomes of politicians in sane countries after leaving office, most return to their carriers and business, some go to write books and give public speeches to earn extra income but in Nigeria you have to steal enough to last generations. |

There is nothing lucrative about a political appointment that is not an executive function. |

Reauben is still young, go and read the richest man in Babylon, ideally humans should not stop working for money until perhaps they are mentally and physically incapacitated. |
