Thank you for your feedback. I thought your profile says you are a rich Latino American from Georgia. So, what are you always doing on my profile, insulting Yorubas in Igbo and English and promoting Peter Obi? What is your issue with Nigerian politics? Is Peter Obi contesting against Trump or Harris?

Anyway, since the Yorubas are the only Black African race on planet Earth to produce the first Black African Nobel laureate for an academic category (Wole Soyinka) and the first Black African military ruler to have voluntarily handed over to a civilian President (Olusegun Obasanjo), and the first Nigerian to contest to be the leader of the UK Conservative Party (Kemi Badenoch) as well as the first person born and bred in Africa to have won a Pulitzer Prize (Dele Olojede), I will rather be as "rubbish" and 'senseless' as them.

At least, during wars and crises, their leaders do not abandon them to their fate and cowardly run away to save their own hides.

This is why when Ambassador Walter Carrington told General Obasanjo not to return to Nigeria from Copenhagen because he would be arrested by Abacha on coup plotting charges, General Obasanjo instead brought forward his return date. When asked why he returned to Nigeria, he posited that if he returned, Abacha would be less likely to kill those already arrested, especially his friend, Shehu Musa Yar’adua.

How many Nigerians do you know who can behave so honourably?

Major General Tunde Idiagbon was abroad in Mecca when Babangida and Sani Abacha overthrew him and Major General Buhari. But he returned.

Finally, there is the case of MKO Abiola, who returned to reclaim his mandate from Nigeria’s most brutal military dictator ever. He was arrested in 1994. He was offered bail, but refused freedom in exchange for abandoning his mandate. This was a multimillionaire in US Dollars. Yet, Bashorun chose prison over liberty. He did not run away and abandon his people.

The Yoruba are a very tactful and diplomatic people. These are attributes that some people mistake for cowardice or sycophancy. They are a people who understand how to stoop to conquer.

The PDP and APC candidate are both Christians too. Returning officer is Christian too. I am suprised that they did not all vote for labour even without a candidate.
