Nnena (nee Akpara) hailed from Akwete, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State. She was the founder of a C&S church in Ede, Osun State. She was known as senior mother-in-Israel of the church, the same title presently held by her daughter, Modupe Adeleke-Sanni.
