The Army Recruitment and Initial Training Command announced that from August 19 to 25, 2024, the British Army will be accepting applications from citizens of 56 Commonwealth countries. Opportunities will be available for a limited number of branch roles. Based on the information provided the following branches will be open: 1. Corps of Army Music (Musician) 2. Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (Reme) 3. RE Technician 4. swaqq:Isn't it same thing that happens with Nigerian military? Those with SSCE can apply for the position and when they serve for 3 to 5 years you resign with your British passport and work or go back to the University making use of the funding from the military. These roles aren't for new recruit, recruits in the infantry go to war but these positions are mainly for reconnaissance missions requiring experience and training.
