They didn't know of the purchase of a presidential plane but SaharaReporters knew of it. And a Chinese company was not only aware of it but also filed to have French courts seize the aircraft before it was delivered. Tinubu didn't purchase that plane with his own money so how in the world could he have purchased a plane without the Senate being aware of it or providing the funds for the transaction?

I believe this ludicrous attempt at an excuse is more than enough reason for Nigerians to begin the recall process on at least 75% of members of the National Senate. What Nigerians continue to wait for, I don't know! Why do Nigerians continue to do this to Nigeria for crying out loud?

Like I said I condemned the purchase at the time because

1) it’s bad optics
2) they claim a 15 yr old plane is not airworthy then they go and purchase a 10yr old plane (albeit a bigger plane (A330) for the price of a new version of the old plane (737 or A320) .
