Why October? What's wrong with tomorrow, Tinubu is just president for himself and family, if anyone believes this man has any plans to lift this country from its present situation i sorry for that person.

A directive was given last month only after Nigerians complained. Now you’re saying till October. You don’t mind that there’s fuel scarcity and very expensive to buy even when available
After all the high expectations of Wale Edun, I’m very disappointed he has been a failure this far with Tinubu
Oga! Good governance is a slow but sure process. A simple word change or misuse of words like "may or shall" can alter or turn a contract/agreement on its head. This is why it takes time to agree on this things. We don't want another PID or what was the name again to occur. But you wouldn't know because your own na make food done make you chop.

Yeah! Ignorance is a disease. Tomorrow you accuse him of signing off Nigeria to one business man. All agreements that involves the country must be checked cross-checked and checked again before the dotted lines are signed. Every fine print is read re-read and read again. Committees are set-up to re-read what has been read and forwarded to various ministries to be read again. That's how government works.

You're the failure here and the funds for your Education is a waste. You lack the understanding and exposure to know there are processes to implementation of policies. It requires relevant stakeholders and authorities to adopt a template that'd suit its practicality, reports have to be submitted and adopted before the implementation, approvals from relevant quarters have to be given before implementation begins. Similarly was the directives of removal of import duties on some specific food items which had to pass through relevant agencies with procedures laid out before implementation begins, it doesn't just fly off the hat. You're simply ignorant.
When your savior shouted "subsidy is gone" during his very first minute in the office, which stakeholders did you consult? Trying to sound learned whereas your head is filled with dust

This shows that Tinubu is not sincere in his governance, may God paralyze Tinubu, his wife, son, supporters especially those on this platform.

Here we have another idiot and sponsored commentator. You are actually the one ignorant here and I bet you cannot even think beyond the pecuniary gains you make, because if you can, you will see that directive is not different from directive. It is all a hoax from the present government. How come the directive to remove fuel subsidy or the one given on increase in electricity tariff took effect immediately (the same day) while those of selling crude oil in naira and removing tariffs on food items have to take several months before they are effective? Which of the directives require some sort of urgency?

You have been blinded by your support for your paymaster. Idiot

Implementation of policies take time institutional changes take various processes and not just by executive fiat.....
You supporters of this government cannot think. How come some policies (with negative effects) take effect immediately - 'Subsidy gone'; 'Electricity tariff is up' while others (supposed to have positive impact to the masses) take eternity?

You supporters of hate cannot think beyond your hate filled faculties......in your supposed wisdom,u really think subsidy removal policy was made on the 29th may 2023,a policy that had been on the table since GEJ's govt also electricity price hike policy had been initiated far back as obi's tenure.

Removal of tariff on certain food items was initiated by this govt and implemented within a month, same with selling of crude to local refiners in naira was also initiated by this govt and is set to commence implementation in a few weeks......are this policies beneficial to people in Sudan or Afghanistan and not Nigerians.......my brodaa!! Running a country and public admin isn't same as running a 2 by 2 corner shop.

In Nigeria the only thing that happens without fail is people suffering. Everything else is futuristic. This will. That will. It will. We will. Wait until October when they will shift the goal post.
Re: Crude Oil Sales In Naira To Dangote, Others Begin October 1 - Finance Minister by ollins(m): 5:27am On Aug 20, 2024
Wait a minute,Dangote didn't make provision for getting crude oil which is the main raw material for a refineryhuhI know Nigeria government ought to be supplying him with crude oil but a business man doesn't rely on "Goodwill" to run any business.
That should have been the first consideration before building a refinery,I want to believe Dangote is smarter than this
Re: Crude Oil Sales In Naira To Dangote, Others Begin October 1 - Finance Minister by pennyland(m): 5:47am On Aug 20, 2024
I can't believe them again, hence they promised us that the NNPC refinery will start work by December last year we are approaching another December again,

They should make a law anybody that import fuel to the country should be sent to prison and the imported products become government property

This is a great news, it will also reduce the pressure on the naira
I don't think so.
The dollars that were supposed to be made from that volume are also lost.
The game changer would have been to sell the overall production to all local refineries in NGN, and to export pms in NGN to strengthen the Naira. But this will never happen because of the contracts signed with Oil Companies.
Re: Crude Oil Sales In Naira To Dangote, Others Begin October 1 - Finance Minister by flokii: 6:59am On Aug 20, 2024
Dangote and other local investors must reciprocate the gesture by selling their refined petroleum products to Nigeria in naira as well.. Failure to do this will put the economy of Nigeria in jeopardy.

Not that Dangote will now come and say he wants to sell PMS at 1k + per litre because prices of refined petroleum products are fixed with USD as baseline.. Serious wahala go dey o.

Dangote and other refineries in Nigeria won't put pressure on the naira by buying dollars they will use to purchase crude from the NNPCL.

It will also lead to a reduction on how much we spend on importing refined crude from abroad. If we're spending $100m on importing petrol, we won't spend up to that on importing petrol again from October.
