Your immigration contact /agent must have stated that your passport is missing or stolen, with a police report filed before the passport was approved for issuance. That is a fact, and we should not deceive ourselves. This is the same reason you need to give to the IRCC, which you should have done immediately after receiving that passport. However, I guess it's not too late. Claiming you want to enjoy a 10-year visa and now having two valid passports is illegal. Last year and earlier this year, many people were doing this, but I believe the IRCC has started cracking down on this behavior.l hope you get visa stamped in your passport soon.

And my collection email from VFS dropped since yesterday afternoon (I was just stressing my self for nothing)

I was checking a different email from the one I submitted to VFS

I’m picking up my stamped passport on Monday

You have 3 years validity on your passport and not meant to renew except on certain conditions, as stated above.

Meanwhile, firstly, go and ask the immigration officer the reason that was used for you on NIS database to have been able to get your passport renewed even with a 3 year validity. This will enable you know what to tell IRCC.

Their call center number has been dropping after being put on waiting for many times.

I have a US visa that I've not used yet. I didn't provide proof of funds. I booked a 1 week stay in an Airbnb that I didn't pay for.
