This post is totally misleading with it's heading. I know your intention is tailored towards the absurd amount spent on procuring a Presidential plane given the economic conditions and impact on the people.

Now note that a 34 year old US Presidential Airplane otherwise called AirForce One must have underwent a complete overhauling both in both parts due to wear and tear and most especially technology gadgets for security purposes within the plane and outside for the safety of the inhabitants of the plane while in the air. This plane is originally a brand new.

The Presidential Airplane always procured for the GCON is always a USED plane and upgraded to meet certain specifications by the handlers of the president. Those who are entrusted with this procurement are the ones feeding fat on the excess amount lumped to purchase such airfcraft.

Bola likes anything French and since Airbus manufacturing plant is domicile in France it makes it easier for routine maintenance of the said aircraft. And since he regularly frequent France for medical tourism, as he is maintaining himself, he can also use the opportunity to maintain the aircraft as well.

Even the Booing 757 owned by Donald Trump is 33years at Present. After he bought the plane fairly used, he refurbished it by changing the engine to that of Rolls Royce.

One thing about aircraft it isn't about the age but how often it is maintained. Bola's grotesque obsession for opulence is just so confounding. First it was Presidential yacht, Bullet proof Cadillac Escalade, and now an aircraft.

whose money was used to procure this plane?

did the owners of the money agree that the plane should be purchased with their money?

did tinubu get the requisite budgetary and legislative approval needed before procuring the plane?

is it a must that he should travel?

of what benefit will his travelling to different countries be to nigerians?

The Air Force 1 is not a 34 year old plane because it's was upgraded with 1.3B USD in 2020 and the white house has placed orders for a new one at 5B USD which will be delivered in 2027.
