Dear Daily Trust,

Please fact-check me: You deliberately omitted to tell your readers that the U.S. has ordered a new Air Force One from Boeing, at the cost of $3.9 billion, which is over 300 times the cost of Nigeria's new Presidential Jet.

You also failed to inform your readers that it costs $177,843 an hour and $2,964 every minute for the US Air Force to maintain the current Air Force one that President Biden uses, which, when you calculate the yearly cost is more than the $100 million Nigeria spent on the new Presidential Jet.

Finally, you additionally failed to tell your readers that the Presidential Aircraft that crashed and killed President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran was an old one, and that it was better serviced than Nigeria's old Presidential Jets.

Daily Trust, what do you want to achieve by this mischievous reportage filled with half-truths? You have a nasty habit of attacking every Southern President. You did the same things to Presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan, deliberately suppressing information and projecting only propaganda that would undermine their administrations.

Yet, you spent eight years being General Buhari's apologists.

What is your agenda? Do you want President Tinubu to die like President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran? God forbid!

US that gives billions of dollars as foreign aid to countries every year.

You want to compare to Nigeria?!
They're free to do as they please. They can buy everyone if us.

You've also failed to tell us that the Market cap of a single company in US, APPLE or Microsoft is more than all the companies in Nigeria put together.

Tinubu said that he inherited a dead economy.

Can a dead economy afford a new aircraft?
yes a dead economy can actually afford a new aircraft if it is for the pleasure of its ruler, the burden of a dead economy is on the people, the rulers are exempted by the virtue of their position

Federal roads are in bad conditions, claiming the lives of thousands and costing motorists huge amount of money in repairs. It takes more than 2 hours to drive from Port Harcourt to Aba, a 60km road, due to bad condition of the road which $100m will be more than enough to fix but a government would be so insensitive to purchase an aircraft for the exclusive use of Mr. president.

At a time when the government is telling citizens to make sacrifice because of its harsh economy policy, certainly, this purchase is a bad one and selfish.

Lol it's really hard to defend incompetence and waste of resources. See how you are comparing to Nigeria when it come to presidential jet.

How old are the airline commercial planes that you board on local flights?

Shall we compare road network since we want to start comparison

This is Nigeria for you. No substance, but want to do more than those with solid substance.

Call for small meeting outside of Africa, and the incompetent Nigerian group will be arriving with 5 chartered jumbo aircraft, plus the ones that took commercial flights. And they are the least competent ones there.

okp*lor eyes makes more money than all the NATO countries leaders. When he hasn't done anything tangible.

Such a useless country that is Spoiling the igbos in every way.

Do you know that in the 90s, as a very young guy, when we travel to the east, Anambra and abia, make stops in delta, imo, and abakaliki; one thing was common, people could leave their houses unlocked for hours and days, until the 2000s when city people started teaching the villagers how to steal.

Nigeria is incompetent as a whole. And the igbos need to try very hard to disassociate from this over 60 years of steady failure. And now, it is even worse, okp*lor eyes is a mega failure.

Can Nigeria spend 283,000,000 million naira per hour to maintain it presidential plane like Air force one

The US Air Force currently maintains and operates two VC-25A aircraft (heavily modified Boeing 747–200) that are commonly used as Presidential transports.

Replacement cost for each of these aircraft is somewhere around $325 million dollars, and somewhere around $177,000 per hour to operate
from Tinubu remark over Nigeria state of economy should we even be discussing "luxury" .... the govt wore there is no enough money to run the budget therefore we are going round borrowing Money upandan

Two jets out of the 6 presidential jets are certified ok ... for a Tinubu that told Nigerians to sacrifice and manage, is it not a perfect chance to lead by example

All the traval that evil old man is travelling round the world how as it benefited Nigeria ... tbh Tinubu is just behaving like omo ojù orí ola rii

Lol. I always wonder the same thing whenever the government raises similar comparisons to justify their failed policies.

Like Nigeria pays lesser tax than developed nations. Nigeria sells petrol cheaper than Saudi Arabia; it goes on and on.

Honestly, Nigerian politicians need to visit psychiatrist hospital for their brain to be checked if it functions normally. They claimed the plane is an old one of 19 years, if that is the argument, they would have gone for the one that is less than 5 years, but what is the difference between 19 and 14 years.

Iranian president died in a helicopter, not a fixed wing plane. A helicopter IS an aircraft like fixed wings, but you're comparing apples to oranges, really.
