MT:Most Nigerians like you, do not appreciate the privilege of living in an organised society, where government agencies are actually doing there job. You may have all the money you want, but you are still facing the huge risk of consuming fake products with all there health implications. Insecurity, more prevalent accidents, and so many more. I will tell you a short story. A friend of mine returned from Netherlands last year. We went out to chill. He ordered a can of heineken and was told the price is #800 . At netherlands, the same size of can heineken is sold for €3.99 . That was over #5000 at the exchange rate as at then. Well, he simply refused to take the drink, because he could not vouch for the quality of the content. It is extremely dangerous to live in Nigeria |

Great0ne1:Your friend was simply being ridiculous, and subtly attempting to feel superior over you but you couldn’t figure that out. Caucasians drink our Heineken, not to talk of your friend who you called a “returnee”. We know their type. Everything I typed was from someone who have lived as a middle class in the western world for almost all his life. Insecurity is everywhere. When your kids go to school in the US, you panick because you are not sure if they are coming back home. They kidnap in the US , and some of the cases are never resolved. Forget what you watch on the TV, the reality when you are on ground is starkly different. |

Ajaero playing his card here, by that time many states would have paid old N30k minimum wage and he would have declared indefinite strike then. probably FG too would have paid N30k wage so the country can be shutdown and FG will have to beg him and forget all his atrocities for him to end the strike. However, this is a dangerous move to make with your position because EmeVulture is now facing one case or another for palying such dangerous game as CBN governor |

MT:We actually checked the price online to verify, and is actually within that range of €3 to €4. I wonder why you can make this statement without even trying to find out what a can of heineken cost in Europe and United States today. The contents are definitely different from what we consume here. Yes, no place is completely 100% safe, but is nothing compared to the situation in nigeria, where the whole country is facing hyper food inflation, simply because farmers are killed in there farm and they cannot go back to farm |

Great0ne1:Can you see? You went to check the price of Heineken in Europe online. He indirectly made you feel less, and you still could not figure it out. I dont need to find out what can of Heineken. I was birthed , lived , schooled and worked for many years in US and EU. Then your friend should not be able to sleep in our hotel because the price is lesser than what is obtainable in the Europe. He should not be able to do anything in Nigeria because the price will always be cheaper in Nigeria. Higher prices in EU should tell you the countries are more expensive than Nigeria, and in order to cater for those expenses, they pay them wages that could accommodate the bills. But sadly, someone in Nigeria will be converting the money to Naira as if he would earn in EU and spend in Nigeria. US is more dangerous than Nigeria. You have not lived anywhere apart from Nigeria, so you have no facts to justify the bolded - just assumptions. |

MT:You are looking at this from different angle my guy. You don't even know how it actually played out and you are already concluding that my friend was trying to make me feel inferior for living in Nigeria. The price difference is not because of taxes they pay in Europe or anything like that. It is definitely about the content. We discussed so many things and also the price of foods. I discovered that chicken is actually cheaper in netherlands and Europe than here in nigeria. I have actually been to Poland. The quality of clothes we buy today in nigeria has severely dropped compared to what we had 8 years ago. The major reason for this is because of devaluation of naira and subsequent drop in purchasing power of Nigerians. Nigerians can no longer afford premium products. But by the end of the day, they try provide for us, what looks like and taste like what we use to have. Imagine buying a can of heineken for #4000 ? How many people can do that in nigeria today ? No, Nigeria is more dangerous than us. Over here we have access to inferior medical facility and service. Our doctors are living in droves. We have poor roads. Insecurity is worse here in nigeria. There is proliferation of fake goods here in nigeria(atleast the situation is worse here). Lastly, out life expectancy here in nigeria is much lower than United states |
