Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has said President Bola Tinubu, the National Assembly, and the political class have decided to become bandits against Nigerians.


Ezekwesili made the remark on Channels Television’s Politics Today while further faulting the purchase of the new Presidential jet for Tinubu.

There have been outcries over the purchase of a new presidential jet for Tinubu’s usage amid the hardship and hunger in the country.


Reacting, Tinubu’s aide, Bayo Onanuga said the Nigerian government purchased the aircraft below the market value.

However, the former minister urged Nigerians not to pity Tinubu because his policies are in confirmation with what his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari did while in office.

According to Ezekwesili: “The executive, the presidency, the National Assembly, I think they have decided that they are the bandits.


“The political class has decided that they are bandits against Nigerians. Because I do not see how it is feasible that the priority of a government that has this level of biting hunger in the land, this level of poverty where people are dropping into poverty per minute will consider the purchase of aircraft for the president.

“The construction of N20 billion homes for the vice president; the purchase of all kinds of funny looking cars and the fleet of the National Assembly members and the executive, what exactly is that?”

There is something FUNDAMENTALLY BROKEN inside the Nigerian People. It makes them enjoy HARDSHIP and SUFFERING.

Hardship and suffering seems have become a HUGE part of the Nigerian IDENTITY.

They love to suffer. It gives them something to COMPLAIN about. Nigerian seems to ENJOY complaining endlessly about the problem than DOING something about the problem.

Nigerians vote DISASTERS into public offices. Complain INTERMINABLY about them and then act like their hands are tied.

IMPEACHMENT is there for a fucking reason.

If your representative in the House/Senate refuse to vote for an impeachment, IMPEACH him too. Tells the next guy what's up.

Democracy is SUPPOSED to give the MASSES control over their own lives but it's been so BASTARDISED that Nigerians just stick their heads in the sand and BITCH endlessly.

It saddens me to see how wasteful this govt has been amidst this extreme level of poverty, i keep saying it that Nigerians are really tolerant. No Country on earth will ever tolerate half of what Nigerians have had to tolerate under her egocentric leaders
