Rewatching the franchise. Typical funny Ryan Reynolds. Fun, action and funny. Brings back good memories for me.

Blake Lively wasn't connected with the film at all and her bringing a comedy writer to rewrite a DV movie is *ucked.

You're totally right with his take on black panther but it wasn't foolish- rewatching it over the years shows how overhyped it was - the only reason it was very successful was because it was Marvel combined with black people and white deniers supporting black folks- it doesn't have anything to do with its story🤷🏽‍♂️. But nonetheless, it was still a fun movie to watch

Like I said - I watched the Boys S4 and it wasn't great👀 it was good close to avg - personal biases most of the times determines how you take a series - Sex Education is one is my favourite series of all times but most people here hate it because it's gay leaving out its story🤷🏽‍♂️. You can't single out The Drinker because he does the same thing. The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto was totally hated by people in the United States not because of its story but because of the director and its message- imagine those movies coming out today! Most people in Europe and the US who actually like the movie would say they don't because they don't want to offend folks - the same for Black Panther

The story was rough and had no balance and unlike previous The Boys seasons- it wasn't meshed with reality at all - what was the point of Annie having an abortion storyline except to get rightists talking 😂😂 or the hospital scene where hundreds of normal people were killed with no repercussions whatsoever just to get clips to post on X😂😂

A quiet place, day one. Is a solid 8/10 for me.
What a movie, totally different from what we are used to as regards movies with similar plots.
So instenced with a mixture of thriller, horror, emotional, friendship, sacrifice, humanity and courage.
I love the fact that they went straight to the point and the main plot immediately the movie started, no unnecessarily plot or fillers or woke nonsense, they just went straight to business.

Another thing i loved about the movie is the change of audience expectations on who we thought will survived, i like the ending part where lupita had to sacrifice herself.
That was a game changer for the movie and it all made sense because she was ill and was going to die anyways.

Kudos to all the casts and crews, it was really a great watch.

The show was meant to piss off right wingers since season 1, if they even followed the comics, it would've been worse and every show or movie have a political edge to it, it's much more blatant now because of the cultural divide and how politics run our lives. The reason I don't like to bring it to the subject because it muddles up the Convo and it's sort of hypocritical saying "no political messaging in art" when that itself is a form of political messaging
