It is a good idea to improve security (financial security, food security, economic security of the nation)

The most important thing is SECURITY: personal physical security the government, the police and the community needs to assure farmers of their safety to return to the farms.

How can you insult and blame people especially youths for not wanting to be farmers when they aren’t secure in their farms? Stop herder farmer clashes and kidnapping/ k!||!ng of farmers in their farm land.

Also stop talking down on farmers, it is Nigerian culture to insult people with the term “farmer” “look at how you dressed like a farmer”

Why would youths leave Medicine, law, yahoo, pastor, banker, accounting and go into farming when all these are more looked upon than farming. We have excess pastors and yahoo and lawyers and bankers because everyone or most people talked positively about these professions over the years, made movies, music wrote articles praising and glorifying them so the youth naturally went in their numbers to become these things let’s do the same for farming. Farming should become a flex.

The third most important thing is ‘access to Capital’ or loan to start the farm and purchase or rent farm equipment this capital or loan is not wheel barrow or shovel and hoe and a bag of seeds 🤣 as our politicians love to do not even 100,000 naira not even 1 million naira. In Nigeria a tractor costs 6-20 million naira. Government can subsidize farm equipments or build factories to produce them in Nigeria so the price goes down.

As a farmer depending on what you’re farming and the size of your farm You need a tractor, a combine, a tiller, a plough, a truck/van, a farm hand, an agency to forecast about the weather every year (what crops will be best to plant and when to start planting) sometimes planting season changes by a few weeks or even months so you either plant earlier than normal or later than normal because of an El Niño weather event or other such occurrence that are beyond your control you need some specialist to observe the soil and weather to explain better to you)

Where I live now I see REAL FARMING with good equipments, government agency gives the farmers free yearly reports on what to expect concerning weather, heat waves, hailstorms more than usual downpour, wild fires, tsunamis, drought etc.

All the farmers are tax exempt so when they buy certain things like car batteries for their tractors and farm machines and even vehicles they use and register to their business they pay less they don’t pay Provincial or state tax.
So they buy those things cheaper than you who is buying it for personal use.


And you want to know what’s BURSTING MY BRAIN

These people here can only farm 5 months in a year due to extreme cold weather snow covers the ground for the remaining 7 months
They also have fewer arable land than Nigeria but yet they produce more food and export more food produce than Nigeria that has more arable land and can farm 12 months in a year

To be honest with you sometimes I think God purposely handicapped this people by giving them these limitations of weather; excess snow, extreme cold and extreme heat and only allowing them to be able to farm for 5-6 months a year because imagine if they could farm for all 12 months in a year.

They can only farm 5 months yet they farm enough corn, millet, sorghum etc to be amongst the worlds largest producers of these crops and Nigeria with ability to farm 12 months a year imports shamelessly from them.

Nigeria that can farm all 12 months no even near them kpa in terms of production capacity.

Imagine it was us Nigeria we could only farm for 5 months in Nigeria people for d!e imagine scarcity of food and price hikes without these limitations tomato prices goes up and down imagine adding this to our struggles?


Imagine Nigeria had extreme cold -20,-30,-40 degrees celcius una for d!£ wotowoto
Imagine say Nepa take light while snow dey fall nonstop for 3 days -30degrees and no Nepa to on heater + fuel scarcity and expensive fuel people go block well well
Old people and small children no go plenty for Naija again.

Then imagine God come allow Nigeria experience Wild fires, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, cyclones and tsunamis with medium earth quakes not even the kind of heavy earthquakes Japan faces.

How many buildings will stand?

Who will save who? Which fire service? Which rescue organizations with which helicopters and ambulances? 🚑 lol Nigeria is a terrible disaster.
