This is the painful controversial judgement first legalised by the current CJN. Posterity will not be kind to those supreme court judges.

What really baffle me is the insensitivity of these people. They are calling him supreme governor, that he was install as the governor by supreme Court. Then he beat the next opponent by wide margin in the next election.
Can this even happen in Osun or Oyo state. It is as if Imo indigenes were sleeping during the election. Probably they want Tinubu right from Abuja to come and make a change for them.
Instead of asking themselves why they love money to the extent of allowing evil to prevail they are attacking federal government and INEC. Where is sense in this.
How old are you, its like you don't know how elections are conducted in states with the deployment of federal might and heavily armed security to snatch ballot boxes and you should know how the react when it's south east

Wild jubilation in the entire owerri and Imo state.

Uzodinma is truly loved by his people.

This is victory for democracy.
Stop it!

Who told you Uzodinma is loved by his people? A known criminal and election rigger who wrote outcome of the election results in his bedroom?

Nothing like Democracy in Imo state because there was sham election which Uzodinma won by default.

Supreme Court Governor, he is!

Hope Uzodinma won the election in Imo State. Even Osita Chidoka confirmed it with BVAS results. Both PDP and LP presented two terrible candidates. If Ihedioha had contested that election, he would have given Hope Uzodinma a run for his money.

The fact that the people have never in fact called for his impeachment speaks to this. undecided

The high level of insecurity in the state is one of them. Persistent levels of corruption and crime in the state are yet more reasons to fire him. Why do you think he should not be fired by the people in this case? undecided
Corruption and crime perpetuated by who? The governor?

Which law enforcement investigated and indicted him of corruption?

Under his watch, yes! You can't be a governor of a state and suggest you can be removed from responsibility as far as corruption and crime during your tenure. That is preposterous! undecided

In Asian, American and even European countries, office holders step down when they realize they have done a terrible job. Na only for Nigeria someone don ever ask me the main stewpid question wey you just ask now! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Supreme court is not village square with elders breaking kola and judging based on sentiments and emotion.

The legal profession is about intricate technicalities, procedural frameworks, and established norms as integral components. You could be right and still fail to prove your case in court.
Like how INEC failed to prove in 2020 that the votes Uzodinma claimed were fictitious.
Re: Supreme Court Re-affirms Hope Uzodinma As Governor of Imo State by Shikena(m): 7:24pm On Aug 23, 2024
Our reactions to technical decisions may be influenced by our cognitive biases and limitations. While the Supreme Court's decisions are bound by the Constitution, they also involve the application of legal principles and interpretations, which can be subject to varying perspectives and judgments.

Kobojunkieee:
Yet the current Supreme Court (with Kekere-Ekun as one of its members) was exactly what you described. The Akpabio and Lawan decision made by the same Supreme Court not long ago is another example. Of course, there are several other examples of the Supreme Court sidestepping the Constitution to mention as well. undecided

Again, your Supreme has numerous times sidestepped the Supreme Law of the Land when it comes to their rulings. They have abandoned the Constitution on enough occasions for that group to be considered a rogue/criminal group up there at this point. What you have right now is a corrupt justice system that disregards the very constitution in probably almost half of its rulings. undecided

Read my post carefully one more time.

Also, for the sake of fruitless armchair argument on the internet, can you provide say, the last 50 judgments of the supreme court and list the ones where they have abandoned the constitution. Please keep in mind that even in the most advanced countries, interpretation of lines of the constitution are often at variance with multiple judges.

Can Hope lose in the same court where the CJN gave awarded results in his favour as at 2019? No. Hope should relish it until he leaves. His people are in the judiciary. The Nigerian Judiciary for that matter.

You are silly for asking me for the last 50! 🤔

2. You get dictionary at all? In which language do you find the word Sidestepping having the same meaning as the word Interpreting? 🤔

Dispassionately, Imo state election judgement is fair and more straightforward to me than the judgement that brought in Diri and sacked APC in Zamfara (Except you didn't read excerpts of the court cases). So I don't know why it's more demonized.

Breath deeply, stay focused, and be civil. You don't have to lose control simply because you can't have your way in an argument.

You said and I quote "What you have right now is a corrupt justice system that disregards the very constitution in probably almost half of its rulings."

Can you substantiate that with the last 50 or the last 20? You were emphatic about "almost half". Can you establish that by showing where you got the supporting fact?
