Thanks, I would still love to know who the artist is? I'm assuming that he is Igbo because its a movie about Igbo kingship. Although Frank Artus is Liberian I think he does a great job acting even clearly he isn't the actual guitarist and vocalists behind this beautiful song.

Okay, I think you best chance in knowing the artist is to go find the full movie and try and see the crew member when showing the credits at the end of the movie.

The full song is played at the end while the credits are running. Unfortunately ... seems like everybody is mentioned including the extras but no mention for th music period. Movie is 4 plus hours?..... don't they know this is the 21st century?

That's Nollywood production style. The movies are split up into segments and air on Nigerian television. Nollywood has better writing in some aspects compared to Hollywood movies which get redundant. Bollywood has great story lines too but their movies are usually in Hindu. I am just glad Nollywood chooses to put their movies in English so that others can enjoy them. But that song stays on my mind though. Wonderful singing.

Hmmm .... interesting. Sounds more like a series and each episode is marketed as a movie. Guess similar to Rocky 1 ..Rocky 2 ..Rocky 29? No doubt ...Nollywood had better writers than Hollywood in some aspects. I really don't know about now. Used to watch back when Genevieve and Patience and Omotola and Nkem were the A listers ... the story lines were first class and the untrained actors did a great job. They were able to captivate viewers worldwide ...despite non professional equipment resulting in the terrrrible movie production! This was a testament to their top level writing skills. After these stars left ..I.believe due to mediocrity.. Nollywood took the plunge...I stopped watching. Few y are later ones here we're talking about a new great movie .one of the best ever .."Phone Swap" ...watched it...then was figuring who to slap. This current one ...same old rich meets poor .....started to watch.....but can't hold my interest for 15 minutes .... what a drag...maybe I need to fire up some weed to slow me down to their speed.

You're right about the quality has gone down since the Nollywood Classic era. Some of the themes are getting redundant too. Rich Prince falls in love with village girl over the arrogant princess. So predictable but every now and then Nollywood goes back to the Classic writing. When they're good the movie stays with you.
