We all knew he lied that he resigned from office for family reasons. No Nigerian political office holder resign from their positions, even when they are caught red handed in corruption. They prefer to die in office, than resign.
Go to court.

Which kind Akara report be this? There is nowhere they showed proof that he was told to resign
Re: Ahmed Abubakar: How NIA DG Was Asked To Resign – Leadership by ANAELEemm: 9:54am On Aug 26, 2024
In every case, he has and also reserve the right to indicate if he was asked to resign or not. That is a national security matter and should not be made public.
The agitation of reasons of his resign is not a problem in the Nigerian context. In his six years he deserve a pass in his contribution to national service.
It is off important now to check mate who is next to be appointed. His credibility to serve as a lead head on national security. With emerging crises here and there, this is the most important to look at.

Ayodele will return and will likely do better, untill 2017 when they came up with selfish interest to invade the NIA office, that agency was doing its great work without many Nigerians in the know of it existence. Till date, I still felt bad about the way the whole issue was handled then.
They pushed out ayodele to serve their agenda!!

Is anyone excusing his resignation? If then we don't know what we're doing as a country. All present security head do not deserve their jobs with these current security challenges we're facing
Re: Ahmed Abubakar: How NIA DG Was Asked To Resign – Leadership by lexy2014: 10:04am On Aug 26, 2024
Security sources, however, told our correspondent that following the former DG’s visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu he was asked to resign due to “severe intelligence lapses” during the recent #EndBadGovernance protests across the country.
Which "severe intelligence lapses"?

if that is the case, why were the NSA and DG of DSS not asked to resign along with him?

are they not more responsible for domestic intelligence?

If that happens, that would also mean that the government is also lying in this. undecided

DeLaRue:
A man voluntarily resigning from a job is not a problem.

Even if the speculation that he was asked to resign for doing a poor job is true, the government is entitled to ask a poor performing appointee to resign.

The man, head of NIA - from the North.
Mr Ribadu, NSA - from the North.
Minister of defence - from the North
Minister of State for defence- from the North.
Chief of Army Staff - from the North.

I don't have a problem with them being from the North. However, one would think they would have a better grip of the ongoing security challenges in the North.

But that is not proving to be the case.

The government is right to review their positions and ask the non-performing ones to go.
Perform what on top hunger.
Good luck stopping hungry people from protesting for food. Foolish government!

Since I was a child and now in my early 30s we've been praying for Nigeria, people thrice my age have also been praying for Nigeria. What's the result? The country keeps deteriorating.

Good governance isn't about prayer and fasting, it's about holding your leaders accountable. But religion in Nigeria has taught us to be docile.

Just imagine this. There's serious, existential insecurity all across Nigeria. Not a day passes without stories of kidnappings, killings, etc. by unknown gunmen, bandits and fulani herdsmen. Almost everyone in Nigeria is hungry. Yet people are frightened to go to their farms for fear of these kidnappers, bandits and herdsmen. It turns out that despite all of these, the one thing that caught the attention of the seemingly indifferent Tinubu regime - and which has led to someone being sacked - is the end hunger protests. What a pity.

Allah ya isa. Is all i can say--especially to our so called Northerners in sensitive positions that failed to protect the region and nation at large.
Re: Ahmed Abubakar: How NIA DG Was Asked To Resign – Leadership by agyo(m): 10:36am On Aug 26, 2024
You seemed or i seem not to be on same page with you Sir.

The point is the insecurity is also a main cause of this hunger. If North does not go to farm, resultant effect is hunger.

Would you have preferred that he was fired instead? undecided
