Edo Guber: Igbo Community In Edo Endorse APC Candidate Okpebholo by Akpakomiza2(op): 8:36am On Aug 26, 2024
The Igbo community in Igbanke of Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State has pledged to support the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State’s governorship race, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

LEADERSHIP reports that the Edo State governorship election is slated for Saturday, September 21, 2024.

The community, which sought the development of their area, said it would solidly support the aspiration of Okpebholo.

Dr. Emeka Maduka, one of the leaders of the Igbanke people and the Igbo settlers in the state, decried the abandonment of their community.

He noted the need for an inclusive and good governance in the state.

Speaking during a campaign rally in the area, the community expressed their full support for Okpebholo, citing their dissatisfaction with the current administration and its unfilled promises.

The community lamented that the promises made to them by past leaders were never fulfilled, leaving the community in a state of neglect and underdevelopment.

At the rally, the APC governorship candidate Okpebholo pledged to address their concerns and deliver on the infrastructure projects that have been long overdue in Igbanke.

Okpebholo assured the gathering that, if elected governor, he would prioritise the construction of roads and provide other essential services in the area, which have been ignored for far too long.

This is another massive blow to Obaseki. The Igbo indigenous community made up of two wards of Igbanke east and west usually give pdp bloc votes alongside the non indigenous community. The loss of Pdp is almost sealed...the Igbo community in Esan West lga also endorsed MODEN

A semi illiterate who loves his people and wants to help them is better than a literate who has no regard for his people. You won't disagree except you are biased

That's a big lie
A literate man won't put himself up for election if he knows he won't work

An illiterate don't even know how to help his people even if he wants to ...

Don't people love n want to help their sick love ones? But they can't because they have no knowledge

Yet it takes a doctor without emotional attachment to treat them...

Governance is complex if you are not smart u would flop

Buhari is an example
Tinubu is another

Monday right from 1999 even before joining politics identified the basic needs of his people like potable water, roads, light, education. He has constructed over 50 boreholes, donated several transformers, empowered people willing to go into POS business, tailoring, petty businesses and constructed a few roads, renovated classrooms and hospitals.he has over 1000 students on scholarship....can you point to what the over educated Asue has achieved? Even Akpata is trying to embrace his culture and undertake various projects.

Smartness is different from literacy please.one can be educated and foolish and one can be uneducated but smart.Intelligence is not measured by your prowess in English language .. Okpebholo is educated up to university but his problem is lack of eloquence and academics....

If he thinks those are what Edo people need then I was right he is a dumb human

Now tell me.

If I go to your village, fix all the road, build school, market and borehole in each compound... What exactly would change in that village

Are you saying Obi is dumb because he did similar things?
Charity starts from home. As a private individual,he has done the little he can by the limits of his power and resources....

Asue was chairman of sterling bank yet their fortunes plummeted.Asue was chairman of Nigerian breweries and they recorded back to back heavy losses....is that who Edo state needs? He was economic adviser to Obaseki for 8 years.what has changed?

Akpata is doing the same thing. Didn't Obi place students on scholarship, construct boreholes in the north and renovated schools and hospitals?

Half bread is better than none sir. Asue has been advising Edo government on economy yet nothing has changed.Edo has one of the highest rates of insecurity in Nigeria as a result of unemployment precipitated by the poor economy. Edo has one of the highest diaspora population because of their poor local economy, tax rate is very high... Asue is a failure compared to Okpebholo

Why are you exchanging word with that idiot. The nzogbu nzogbu politics they played in their region that have held them down for years and turn most of them to crying babies can't be replicated in Edo.

Ebonyi used to have a large number of petty traders, hawkers and house helps outside alongside akwa ibom but in the last 8 years, this trend has drastically reduced thanks to the commitment of their governors to education, economic and human development. Asue is a failure. He couldn't even manage his own law firm and had to lease it out... His party is in shambles yet Okpebholo has managed to hold his party and business far better with less education
