Their accounts are meant to be audited and verified to ensure we are all aware of what they had, where they came from, and so on.

2. People in Nigeria, and everywhere else, have a right to be suspicious of people's source of wealth. It is common sense given that there are a tremendous amount of thieves and fraudsters out there, particularly in Nigeria. Even your religious leaders are front and center when it comes to fraud, so yes, it is right to question it all.

They don't just sit down and depend on their salaries, allowances and deals inside their offices.

If you can afford to live large in Abuja, have good cars and a lovely office, you would come across most of these politicians or thier fronts brokering deals.
Most times it's oli&gas deals or even contracts from several corners.

I've worked in many good firms and made good investments. I was also into buying and selling of shares before the period of economic melt down that scattered share business.
