Civil war and military takeover are two different things. During the civil war, it was eastern Nigeria Vs other Nigerians and their foreign allies. While I don't subscribe to it, military takeover is the call for soldiers to chase out of Aso Rock that old man who claims he built Lagos but has destroyed this country within one year.

The military built 90% of the infrastructure we enjoy today. During the military era, corruption, embezzlement, and insecurity were not common like this. Democracy was supposed to be the best thing for Nigeria, but politicians have destroyed it.

You are right, except that we are talking about Military takeover not Civil war...

If military takeover was an immediate cause, then asking for a military takeover means we've put Civil war down already.....

I wish it happen, but it can't happen because even the military is not pure to even try it.

I am well over 40s. We are not in the same category. I was not a kid as you when Gen Babangida was head of state, also Abacha became head of state when i was already grown up. So get it.

The point is experience has shown that military are known for gross abuse of power and fantastically corrupt. The highest display of nepotism and favoritism has always rampant under the military.
