While such activities are known risk factors, genetics and hereditary issues also play major roles in diseases. Some people's "crime" is that they were born into certain families with certain histories and genes. Do not be quick to attribute everything to lifestyle.

Pls u ought to have let the kidney transplant be successful first before announcing donor or whatever when the operation have not even started so many evil forces out there.

While the genetic predilection is there, dangerous and harmful lifestyles can worsen it.

Another ignoramus. Are you saying St. Nicholas and other top-tier Nigerian private hospitals can't perform or have never performed successful organ transplants? We have many teaching hospitals in the country that organ transplant is a piece of cake for them. Also going abroad doesn't mean his body won't reject the kidney. Read up.

People drink all their lives and still live long without any surgery but some don't.

My grandpa was a heavy drinker, he died at 93, no hospital drama.

Just like people have different capacity/tolerance levels for alcohol and drugs people's body respond different to same thing sometimes. This might be due to internal or external factors.

don't underestimate the power of social media, his second or even multiple volunteer donors could be out there, not necessary even in Nigeria.

Nigerians won't hear , eating of junk foods , drinking all those Jedi alcoholic roadside drinks all because of knacking , and consuming drugs without doctors prescription , and another factor is untreated or unmanaged high blood pressure,all these contribute to rampant kidney failures in our society

drugs and alcohol needs to stop.
