Imagine a small sphere in that corn heap, I counted something like 30 corns in that sphere. The sphere had a radius of about 1/10 of that "hemisphere"(more accurately, a pyramid) so I estimate the number of corns in that heap to be about 30*10^3=30000/2=15000. Approximately 15000 corn cobs.
