Only time will tell, for national team manager, you don't need to have incredible success at
club level before being trusted with the job and doing well.

No one knew Delafuente before Euros and Spain win !

I still feel we should be going for manager with
with good track record and not just any available manager, we could have stick to peseiro, peseiro is even an upgrade because he has both clubside and national team managerial experience.
Please don't compare Delafuente with this coach. You can be forgiven as a Nigerian if you don't know him but Spaniards and the Spanish media are aware of his exploits at various Spanish national team. He won the under 19 euro championship and euro under21 championship. He also won silver at the Olympic with Spanish under 23 team. He is a popular coach in Spain and was considered the best fit for their national team. His experience of managing various Spanish youth team is counting now as he has assembled a youthful team that will dominate world football for years.

He is a part of us now, there is nothing we can do than to give him maximum support for the sake of SE.We bury whatever reservation we have about him for now.

Instead of going for this unknown faces who just come for the money, why not give an home based coach a good support, freedom to choose the players he believe in their abilities and possibly sponsor him and his crew on some refresher coaching courses.

The 2014 world cup isn't it a local coach that qualified us for the tourney. How many local coaches has been able to retain their job as coach of SE for 2years atleast to build a good team? The last home based cos who was on the job for atleast 3years was keshi and I don't need to remind of what he achieved in 3years; a world cup ticket and Afcon trophy, something Rohr couldn't achieve in his five years stint as coach. We give foreign coaches time and and resources but we expect instant miracle from home based coaches.

Show me a local coach who has completed a calender year as SE coach in that timeframe , because to you home base coaches are miracle worker who should build a team overnight to start qualifying for Afcon and world cup easily.
