As part of ongoing efforts to familiarize commuters with the rail system, staff members of the Lagos State Waterways Authority and other key stakeholders took part in The Lagos Rail Mass Transit RED LINE, traveling from Oyingbo to Agbado station on August 28th, 2024.

This exercise aims to ensure a seamless transition for passengers when full operations commence.
So there's Agbado Station cheesy

Can anyone alive believe that a certain group of people did not vote for the man that accomplished this project instead they want to force a foolish soul who does not reason in the way of his people on Lagosians.

Claimed is name was Chinedu only to suddenly change it to Gbadebo to fool who ? Definitely not the great Yorubas.

Yet they will be the ones claiming someone voted out of tribalism, can any rationale being give me 1 single reason why you will have GRV vs Sanwolu in an election yet you chose to vote GRV. Do such fools not need mental evaluation to save them from foolishness..

Just one single reason even if it's a bad one n earn 10K.
He is an MIT trained architect na! grin

We know them. They will always look for something negative no matter how good the thing may be.

It's not high speed.... They bought the coaches from canada yen yen yen.......

Which one dey your state or whole region?

leodregat:
It's not high speed and the coaches are 2nd-hand trains Sanwolu but from Canada. But it's a good start at least, especially since it took Lagos more than 20 years to complete this rail system
Re: Lagos Red Line Rail Begins Partial Operations (Pictures) by Segzy19: 7:14am On Aug 29, 2024
As usual some children of hate that never appreciates anything good will come to lament and condemn this good development (as usual)

Just wait... You will see their comments...

Meanwhile, congratulations to Southwest, Lagos, citizens and the governor..

Get your facts straight first before making an argument or claiming otherwise concerning an issue, you also should have apologized for the misinformation you (knowingly or unknowingly) spread by claiming they were used trains

There's actually someone on the first page that is not very happy with this. Interesting. How would a human being not be happy with development? How? Why?

The trains are used trains Sanwolu purchased in Canada and the news was shared on nairaland when he went for the purchase.

The intercity rail system was first initiated by Governor Bola Tinubu in 2003 under "Lagos Urban Transportation Project". Besides the BRT network, the rail network never took off as it was postponed multiple times by successive governors until Sanwolu.
It does not matter anymore if they are second hand coaches or trains. What matters mostly presently is that the trains work and are able to make travelling easy for citizens. That’s what leadership must achieve and that’s why leaders are elected into positions.

Let’s therefore commend the government of Lagos for the effort.

The trains are not second hand.

And the red line didn't take 20 years, it was started and completed by the Sanwo-Olu administratiin
Even if it takes 30 years to get it done, let him show what his state achievement in the last 20 years.

See what a black man is reporting as news and celebrating in this present time. We're so used to to mediocrity in this part of the world.
But you are celebrating IPOB terrorists and sit at home in your landlocked region?

Throwback:
How are they 2nd hand trains?

That they were built for another customer in the USA who eventually did not complete the purchase order, does not make it 2nd hand if Lagos is the first user.

Is Milwaukee in Canada?
Not that I am trying to run down this project or the Lagos state govt but I must say that I saw the train first hand and someone did a bad paint job on it and the trains don't look new.....even the headlights were discoloured, though the interior was very neat!!

Stop lying
They are not second hand trains .
They were produced for another company that was unable to make the payments and it has to be sold to Lagos , this doesn't make it second hand

Lagos State government is trying, but can still do better. The central government led by Senator Bola Tinubu isn't trying at all! Instead of focusing on redeeming the battered image of his administration by providing good governance, which is the primary responsibility, Tinubu is making all efforts to silence oppositions of his maladministrative government and using tax payers money to pay media thugs to assassinate the characters of oppositions.

Tinubu must be kicked outta power!!!
Go and kick him out nah.....if you don't like him, there are millions more who do!!

So this madness happens in saner climes too, whereby a govt will initiate a project that is beneficial to the people, then his successor comes in and cancels. Well, I rarely see abandoned projects through successive administrations though.
Rail transportation isn't a profit generating enterprise anywhere in the world......the new govt at the time could believe they could still make use of the hold ones they had and not taken on extra debt acquiring new ones or maybe some malfeasance had been detected in the purchase and could refuse to go ahead with the deal.

Thank you for correcting the erroneous believe.
But for a better Service, let Members of the Lagos Assembly and LAMATA-be riding this Train,as Often as possible,as being done Abroad, for Proper Maintenance of this High Value Asset to the Public.
e.g in Britain,many times,we see even a PM- riding the Train,to hear a first hand Complaint,if any.
It's for the Public good.
Another area of Concern is the Security - both Public and Private should Continue to Monitor - without compromise,of the effectiveness, for Public Safety - for you don't know who is your enemy!
Train derailments or accident are fatal,God forbid!
It a good start,but don't relax the Standard!👍
