Nigerians are reflecting on the legacy of the late Prof. Dora Akunyili, former Director-General of NAFDAC, as the agency faces heavy criticism over the proliferation of fake drugs.

The current criticism of NAFDAC was sparked by a revelation from popular video director TG Omori, who disclosed his struggle with kidney failure, attributing it to the consumption of fake drinks.

His story has reignited calls for NAFDAC to take immediate action against the rising cases of fake drugs, alcoholic beverages, and other consumables.

Many Nigerians are now urging the agency to either step up its efforts or face closure, as frustration with the current state of affairs grows.
