It's normal but take him to the hospital.

Do a scrotal USS and send it to me
I do hope is painless otherwise take him to see a urologist or pediatric surgeon

See a doctor
If na adult, infection perhaps
But for a 3 year old it could be trauma, an infection, cancer, tumor or hernia (in a child?), but best of all see a doctor to run tests
Also ensure/confirm your child is not being abused

It's hernia, am pretty sure because it happened to me sometimes in the year 2000

I had the same condition 4years ago and lost my testicle .
Question ,after 20 years of losing yours . Has it had any effect on your life , negatively

He may have testicular torsion . It’s a very painful condition . Please take him to the hospital ASAP. A quick intervention may save the testis , other wise it will be surgically removed .

I had same thing some 20 years ago . it is very painful . please take him to a proper hospital ASAP.
I was in boarding school when it happened to me and because of poor medical facility, it took almost 2 weeks before i was finally moved to a proper hospital where it was diagnosed . All the best

You better run to an hospital before he loses it. It might be torsion. I am surprised you are here asking questions when you should have been un the hospital since morning.

stop being a very silly parent and take the child to the hospital.

Why will you come to nairaland to seek for solutions? Don't you know is medically wrong for a Doctor to orally advice you on what to do in health issues when he can't reach you physically?

Please go and see a Doctor before you blame anyone here of wrong advice ...

It's mostly likely prostate hernia.

I know because I experienced it myself.

We went to a doctor then and the man said it's infection and was treating me with antibiotics. But then he didn't mention any infection in particular. My egg kept increasing and very painful until I couldn't take it. Told my dad I was dying and we went to another hospital where a white doctor operated on me and corrected the inflamed egg. He said if I didn't come that very day, no guarantee I'd have lasted beyond that weekend.

He did the first operation and the thing returned to the normal size.
One week later, he booked me for another operation and said it's better to remove the infected egg totally so as not to damage the effectiveness of the other egg. And that's it, I got one egg removed

My advice, rush and take your son to a reputable hospital so they can start on time to treat him.

The young dude is not feeling any pain, why stressing yourself. Maybe something bite him during the night.

Left to me, I will apply little *rub and observe.

I was also a boarder when I had hernia and seriously it's not funny.
I was having unusual pain from time to time, when the main one came, I thought it was gonna be like the ones before. But my egg started increasing. My younger brother saw it one day I was wearing clothes and he shouted. He rushed and called my dad and we started going to the hospital.

You don't have to be idiotic, it's same as inguinal hernia. I used prostate hernia cos that's what they called it then.

The same thing happened to my son around that age too, I was so worried and planning to go the hospital until i met a man that told its nothing, that the boy's penis is big and thereby rolling inside that as time goes by, it will stop and that was what happened. In most cases it's normal... BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SEE THE PEDIATRICIAN.

You have nothing to worry about. It's normal for one testicle to be bigger than the other, nothing serious.
