University of Ibadan is set to increase the tuition fee of the institution by 300 percent, this agenda of the current administration is further set to bring additional hardship to the children of the poor masses, who are struggling to acquire basic education to the tertiary level.
While Nigerians await a meaningful resolution to the #70,000 minimum wage from the government of the three tiers, the only available gift is to increase all institutions fee which actually means: workers are subjected to a modernized slavery when compared to the #70,000 peanuts.
Or do we say the government made it's calculation based on the student loan made available to the institution? If that is it, the government have gotten it practically wrong as majority of Nigerian students might not find it easy and that might lead to mass exodus from the University.
Nigerians should wake and engage the administration of PBAT against the unnecessary increase in tuition fees in all our tertiary institutions as this education still remains the only thing a common man on the street can still try to afford.

A bad rumour. May it be false.

If you know anyone in University of Ibadan, you can make your call and confirm.

This is what FG has been tasking universities to do for quite a long while now before they can answer them. ASUU went on strike Una yab ASUU now ASUU is doing what FG wants. let them get better welfare. Na who get money go dey go school now. it will happen slowly but surely all universities will increase their fees.

It's true..I'm a student there, our exam has been postponed by 3 weeks so students can go look for money..And when you're back,it's school fees or no exam..

That should not be the case, it's either the university reverse back to old fees and call for immediate negotiation between the leadership of the Student Union, ASUU, SSANU and NASU.
