Coalition Reaffirms Support for Tejuosho's Ministerial Appointment The Coalition of Professional People Living with Disability (CPPLWDs) has revealed that appointing Halimat Tejuosho as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation will guarantee a whopping 37 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. In a press statement issued on behalf of the group by Barrister Ismaila Sani Dabai and made available to newsmen in Kaduna, the disability group expressed deep disappointment and frustration that their plea for Tejuosho's appointment continues to be disregarded, while those of other groups are being granted. Notwithstanding this, the group reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Tinubu-led administration, citing his Renewed Hope Agenda. They emphasized that they do not regard the appointment as an entitlement, but rather as a necessary acknowledgement of Tejuosho's remarkable contributions to humanity, particularly during the tumultuous #EndBadGovernance protests. The CPPLWDs highlighted Tejuosho's exceptional selflessness and leadership, noting that she utilized her personal resources to embark on a nationwide tour, traversing Jos, Abuja, and other states, engaging Nigerian youths and passionately appealing to them to give the government more time. By granting their request, Ismaila added that the President would be sending a powerful message about his commitment to inclusivity, equality, and diversity, thereby promoting a more representative and inclusive leadership. “The Coalition of Professional CPPLWDs in Nigeria, representing over 37 million people, has expressed deep worries and concerns following the delayed appointment of Halimat Tejuosho as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. “Despite our unwavering support for this administration, we cannot help but feel marginalized and overlooked as our request continues to be ignored, while those of other groups are being granted. “We are left to wonder if our disability status is the reason for the President's continued overlook of our requests. It is disheartening to note that despite our contributions to the country, our requests are constantly delayed or ignored, while those of non-disabled individuals are prioritized. “Remarkably, Tejuosho's appointment would be a well-deserved recognition of her tireless efforts in serving our community, providing humanitarian aid, and stabilizing the government during times of crisis. Her selflessness and leadership have earned her the respect and admiration of our coalition and the wider PLWD community. “Notably, Halimat Tejuosho risked her life traveling to Jos, Abuja, and other parts of the country, meeting with Civil Societies to shield their sword before and during the #EndBadGovernance protests that would have crippled this government. She used her personal resources to achieve this, while those in government were shying away from their responsibilities. This act of bravery and dedication demonstrates her commitment to the well-being of our nation. “We urge the President to consider the significance of this appointment, not only for our community but also for the country at large. By granting our request, the President would be sending a powerful message about his commitment to inclusivity and equality, promoting a more representative and diverse leadership. “The appointment of Halimat Tejuosho would also serve as a formal recognition of the valuable contributions PLWDs have made to Nigerian society, despite facing systemic marginalization and exclusion. This recognition would promote a more inclusive and equitable society, where PLWDs are valued and respected. “Furthermore, this appointment would address the systemic marginalization faced by PLWDs, promoting equal access to opportunities and resources. It would also ensure that our community is represented and included in the decision-making process, paving the way for a more inclusive political landscape. “We remain hopeful that the President will consider our request and take the necessary steps to ensure that our community is represented and included in the decision-making process.” Ismaila, said.

I know this lady very well. She has an NGO, Queen Adenike Tejuosho Foundation. She has been supporting the disability community, people in IDP camps and many indigent students with scholarships all over Nigeria for more than 10 years. I have seen her prison outreach program from 2021. I believe she will make a good Minister in the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty if appointed. lolanews: |

You all saw him everywhere, some of us even saw him more that Emilokan Tinubu |

I have seen this story against HRM Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho before but it's important to note that she was neither arrested nor charged to court. The matter seems to have been settled. It was a business partnership gone wrong due to government termination of a housing project contract. She partnered with someone who put a the money which a larger part of it was already spent on the project before the government terminated the contract. The story here is from the financier, not the FG, but we must consider the lack of concrete evidence and the absence of conclusive outcome in the case. It's crucial to avoid spreading unsubstantiated claims and focus on verifiable facts. The woman has a reputation for humanitarian work even before she got that contract or before this article came out. Let's prioritize fairness and accuracy in our discussions. tutudesz:

If persons with disabilities are suggesting a woman that they have access to and someone they believe will perform greatly as Minister, must we call them mad? Does that warrant name calling? You are Nigerian too, suggest your own person to the president abi? Persons with disabilities in Nigeria comprises of all tribes and religion, they know what they are facing in this period if they take the initiative to say that this woman will make a better minister, why are other groups not doing the same? Instead of having another political jobber there, why not someone they feel is capable naija4life247: |

Yusufkumo:Disabled people are not supposed to be looking for who to touch their lives, they too should touch their own lives. I have seen disabled accountants, lawyers, doctors, engineers, tailors, welders, e.t.c. Any disabled person looking for whom to touch his or her life should be held in concentration camp. |
