You don't get it. Play in a country where you get paid massively, invest and retire early.

Cr7 and Messi are still playing because they gat records and reputation to protect.
Our brother has nothing to d!e for!!!!!

Just make money and retire

Do you really think Osimhen is 24?
even if he was 30 or 35 it's too early for him to go to al hilai

Saudi is only for player's who has collected all europe cups and want to end their career at making money only

What has osimhen acheived?

Oshimen is smart...
Napoli will not let him go for a lower price,so he got the big "hitters" in a Saudi getaway.
Now it's for him to lose some form, and reduce expectations from Saudi and he's out there in Europe again with better competition.
Las las, he's gaining...no loss

He won the Italian cup as a key player; he has already achieved more than many of his peers can boast.

If he is closer to 30, he has only a few years left to play, so it makes sense to chase the bag. Only a few players can play top-level football into their late 30s.

The guy is just greedy and short sighted.

Cos his value would drop once he goes to Saudi. He won't even find any club would be willing to even pay him up to £100k once his contract there expires cos age wouldn't be on his side anymore.

In the world of football nobody respects you simply because you have money. Because everyone has it as well. Your respect comes from your achievements as a player and not your earnings.

Nigerians applauding him for accepting that offer are doing so from a poverty standpoint.
I still concur, that is why you still hear of Kanu, Okocha, Zidane, and the Drogba of this world till today.

let say he's 30
at wat age do you think he's going to retire?

most of player out there are more older than him and are more better than him and they are still fighting to leave a good and strong legacy

He his just chasing the bag,al hilai just want to use him for 4 year's(that's even if he performs well).. if doesnt perform's well, he will be given a pay cut and also be dumped and that's the end

chasing the bag without living a strong legacy and achievement in football is just a waste of time for a footballer (meaning he played for fun and for the mula).

I can understand the point you are trying to make, but that not how football works.

strong legacy result's to bigger profit's

At just 24 or there about, he's going into oblivion. Na wa o.

Left for me, I would have advised him to accept a more reduced wage and come to Chelsea. That £500k per week he was asking for was sheer greed on his part. Cos even haaland and Salah who have consistently maintained their scoring talents for more than 4 seasons don't even earn up to that.

Saudi Arabia is for players who have already made their mark and are looking for a peaceful retirement. Not someone at the peak of his career.

His agent who advised him to take this deal is only after his cut and nothing more. In as much as money is good, you cannot get international recognition in the world of football by just money. You need a trailer load of silverware. That's why people like Messi, Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane...etc. Would always be respected wherever they go. It shouldn't just be about the money.
Neymar jr with all his potentials is there earning well, there is life after football and the current world is basically about money 1st power 2nd and maybe fame third... only thing he will be missing out will be the fame... now ask yourself which matters to him most and not to you?
Re: Victor Osimhen to join Al-Ahli on 4-year contract - SkySports by tuwayz(m): 3:51pm On Aug 30, 2024
after the four years he must have had a lot of money to leave the life he want, as a philanthropist or as one who has other values... people believed in good name and love then... but it's so unfortunate time has change and you know what they say "change is the only constant and it's as well inevitable"

I get your point, but I also strongly suspect he did not have a suitable top club asking for his service. They would not say this clearly also, because that would kill his value in the market.

Chelsea would likely have killed his career judging by the precedence of what has happened to strikers that moved there since after Drogba and Chelsea is not even a title contender based on recent performance.

Well said. He made the best move. Let him play in Europe from today till kingdom come and score goals and dribble guy he will not be allowed to rise or shine like Ronaldo, or any white star. We all saw how good he was in Italy what did he get in return. Treated badly. The guy gets sense. Never say never. Once you realise you made a mistake correct it and don't keep making that mistake. In 4 years time do we think the Saudi club will make him this same offer or any club? The guy quickly bought sense. Congratulations. Best move. Congrats

Money is not everything in life. But you see this kind of money? It's a whole lot. Put selfishness aside and you can do a whole lot of good with just a fraction of this kind of money.

Almost all no 9 have been unlucky in Chelsea since after the era of Drogba, and this was when Chelsea was still red hot.

Chelsea would have been a big gamble.

If he goes to Chelsea now and they refuse to pass ball to him.... Like they did to Lukaku( who in my opinion is a very deadly striker on a good day and who left inter as perhaps the most deadly striker in Italy back then)..... It's still una that will call him a flop.

U guys need to know that the English premier League players have too much ego. They don't want to see new world class players shine.

They did it to Lukaku
They did it to Ronaldo
They even did it to our own igalo( and yes pound for pound, igalo was the best player in that man u squad that period)

They won't pass the ball to u
You are 100% correct and wise.

Even Eberechi Eze, when England played him at the Euros, his teammates never passed him the ball.

He is an average player.

An African player of the year who couldn’t make best 11 in afcon. Which serious club would buy such a disaster?
Look at your useless life.

Stupid dunce.

Tell your “average” father to go and earn 40 million dollars a year in Saudi, you foolish idiot.

Europe is heaven. If he doesn’t play there the whole world will collapse.

Brainwashed idiots.

Al Ahly are now offering him £650,000 a week, and you are calling him average.

A ‘Disaster’.

Is your head correct at all?
Re: Victor Osimhen to join Al-Ahli on 4-year contract - SkySports by frog12: 5:13pm On Aug 30, 2024
haaland gets 500k a week at mancity, ronaldo is around 4.5 million a week at saudi, aubameyang is just 180k or so at saudi.
for 500k, if i were osimhen, i will take it. if he transfers back to epl later or euro, he can go for lower salary grin grin
he should save all the money.

This is so disappointing.

What started as a very promising career. At his peak is now plying his trade at in the middle east.
what else does he need? He wanted PSG, Napoli frustrated the move. What Napoli accepted now about 65 million pounds could have been payed by PSG. But they refused. Moreover, he has achieved african footballer of the year #8 in ballon d'or. If he stops playing, he has achieved a name in Italy , Africa and the world.

Those who want to enjoy seeing Osimhen want him to stay in Europe but he the guy prefer himself where he'll be happy for future.

He chose the best for himself not for people

No. He has no choice after being rejected by all the clubs in Europe.
But Chelsea made offers for him but he chose the fat salary

Osimhen lacked good advisers. Why did he sign a new contract when he knew Napoli will sell him the next season? That's the Nigerian mentality, money first.

Money he will get at Saudi but he should forget about competing with the big boys in Europe and maybe forget Europe entirely except he gets a call up to the SE he rubbish Ed.

Surely he will perform at Saudi Arabia, I wish him luck and an injury free career

Attitude.

Although that contract is just with his club, his consent has not yet been given to it. Still subject to change if Chelsea can up their game.
