I am triple critical of the Igbo more than you can ever imagined. I am a true son of the soil, Yoruba paruku. Reducing coat if road construction is a policy that must be generally accepted by all governors in the West or anywhere else hopexter: |

Mba promised to construct 10,000 kilometers of road in 8 years during his campaign and I think this is one of the steps to acheiving that goal. I don't think he can fulfill his promise but if he can construct 5,000 kiliometers, Enugu will turn to London. Other projects by the governor include (1) construction of 260 smart schools in each ward of the state ( work is ongoing) (2) construction of 260 primary health care centers in each of the ward (work ongoing) (3) construction of a new dual carriage road from Owo to ehamufu in is uzo local government ( work is in progress) (4) building a new enugu smart city (the area has been cleared ) (5) building 4 ultra modern bus terminals in Holy Ghost, garriki, Abakpa and Nsukka ( demolition has been carried out, work going on only Holy Ghost) (6) dualization of enugu Abakalili road with a flyover at Eke junction ( work is on going) (7( dualization of Abakpa Nike OPI Nsukka road ( work has not started but obstructing structures have been marked for removal ) ( dualization of Nike lake road from penoks to T junction ( work not yet started, obstructing structures already marked for removal)(9) construction of a flyover at Abakpa junction (work not yet started) (10)Renovation of hotel presidential (work is ongoing) (11) completion of the abandoned enugu international conference center ( work in advanced stage) (12) construction of a five star hotel close to the conference center ( not yet commenced) (13) rehabilitation of state owned companies, like eastern palm oil, avop ltd, etc ( I have seen MOU but I don't think anything is happening here) (13) establishment of farms in each local government with special focus on cassava ( I don't know how far they have gone here but a painter of garri is now 2k in enugu) (14) quadrupling the states IGR and taking the state's GDP from 4trn to 30trn ( until NBS releases the stats of this year's IGR by states ) (15). He promised that by the time he ends his tenure, there will be no untarred road in the city of enugu, ( he awarded about 80 roads within the city about 3 weeks ago) These are what I Know about the governor's promises and his move in achieving them so far. There are others that I am not aware of but if he can achieve just half of what I listed above,. Enugu state will be better for it Also in my own personal opinion projects no 1 and 8 are not necessary. |
