Why can't unilag build its own Power Plants? Haba!!! With all the mechanical and electrical engineers they've produced? All those professors and doctors in these faculty, what are they doing?

Our university churn out graduates in engineering courses, what is the essence if these universities cannot generate their source of power. Too many issues in Nigeria.. Bad system will continue to raise unnecessary problems in n different aspect of the country. Too bad

EFCC should investigate the school financial books. Money collected for acceptance fees, Hotels fees (full time and part time) and Federal Government is pumping money in too.

It is a shame there is no consequence for wrong doing in Naija.

Most of this electrical companies give high over estimated bill. The reason why they delay giving customers prepaid meters.

University of Benin has led the way, others should follow too. They don't have to do it all at once because of the lack of fund but start doing it bit by bit, they will eventually reach there. Benin university called for help, money donations from the public and people showed love to the institution.

Outrageous utility bill! Laughing. DISCOs will eventually lose large customers to IPP in the long run due to their unrealistic billing

Setup cost is also not free. They have to pay. Someone that cannot pay 200m monthly but want to setup solar.

For the energy loads of a place like Unilag, I won't be surprised if the setup cost for full solar power will not be up to 3billion naira or more.

The private sector is paying the crazy bill. The govt also should pay!

75% is being remitted to the FGN while they retain 25%. Meanwhile they give only 12m per month for running cost. Grossly inadequate. Public universities are underfunded. What the government can do is to beam a search light on the consultancy arm of FTI which is totally under the control of VC. There's money in that area
