I hope the average lifespan of the lecturers versus student is compared also?
Without that in place, the OP is simply glorifying fast lane mentality.

living and enjoying life for 60 years is better than living in squalor and penury for 90 years and becoming a burden to your children and grandchildren while being a laughing stock to the general public who keep mumbling "when is he going to die? "

This comparison is very stupid, childish and baseless. Are you expecting the lecturers to expend all their money on posh cars? They surely have more responsibilities. Some even have children schooling abroad. If you're a responsible father/mother, tell me which one would you choose between posh cars or sponsoring your children. My Dean for instance rides venza jeep, he can surely afford a bigger ride but he has 3 children currently studying in Canada. His last born is processing Australian visa RN. Do you know how much it costs to sponsor four children abroad?

Some of these students make legit money oo. Not all of them are ritualists. I marvelled when I saw the money made by one.guy from crypto. He dashed his gf millions of naira. He's the one feeding the family. His earnings for 3 months will buy him a decent car. My cancern is, why not invest in assets. Cars at their age is a liability and nothing lasts forever

The lecturers bought their cars with their hard earned money. The students however got theirs from questionable sources of income.

So please stop the compairism.

Wouldn't it have been better for a student of Ekpoma to make the comparisons, while the AAU student tells us what obtained at his?
.. well I'm guessing it's an insurance against being a perpetual FNG student. grin

This is the problem with Nigeria

Our value system has been eroded

Good name is no longer better than riches

Everyone now worships money irrespective of how you made it

That is why we now have all sorts of crime and fraud in our society.

A man will die and family will tell the first son that they want to wait for the last born to come from Lagos first before they fix date for the burial/make burial arrangements.

If this worship of material things in our society is not stopped we will not get it right as a country.

Fraudsters and criminals need to know that people will avoid them and not mingle with them because of their questionable wealth for them to stop their crimes. But will that ever happen?

How did we get to this for crying out loud.
Fraudulent acts is now the order of the day, rather than being frowned at it's now being glorified.
Hardwork is now being mocked rather than appreciated.
Where are we heading tohuhhuh
I wonder what the future holds for the next generation.
I rest my case

The crave for materialism among young people is really beffidling nowadays. I watch the video of secondary school ex-students doing post graduation party in Benin and I just shudder in horror.

Living in affluence while the person being duped is dying in penury, and they feel that they are being smart. What baffles me is that some useless parents support these criminals

Good one my brother... I hate how youths of nowadays think. They idolise money and luxurious lifestyles too much. Little wonder many of them go into money rituals and yahoo plus...
