All their revisionists went to work immediately after the war to change and push the narrative of an "oppressed and victimised" nation while this was totally the opposite. I blame Gowon for not taking the initiative to dominate the post war narrative . His ban on documenting the war for posterity sake just so the Ibos can be reintegrated back into Nigeria, did not extend to the biafrans going to town rewriting fake narratives of the war and events surrounding it. These post war narrative is what has led to the victimhood generation mentality that has led to the resurgence of ipob and other Biafra agitators who are emboldened by the lies of their war generation.

A truth and reconciliation panel would have set things straight but what would have been better would have been Nuremberg style court cases to hang all those biafran war criminals.
