When some one said for years it means plural years and there isn't any where I'm the OP sentence that specifically said the number of years. It can be 2 years it can be more , assume it's 2 years or 3 years will the girl be a minor? If no then there is possibility of her starting the act as an adult.

Though even if the relationship of the girl and the man is now a step dad step daughter relationship it's still not acceptable

Just the way the man killed her for training a child into adulthood that isn't his? So her crime isn't worth that but his is worth to kill? Do you know what it is to train another man's child for 20years plus thinking the child belongs to you? That 20years could be used to Mary another woman and birth children for the man but she wasted it for him , the only way she could do restitution is to allow her child birth a child for the man she denied having one from for decades.
