You are very wrong. What many don’t understand is the real motives of players that take pay cuts. Nobody and I repeat nobody ever takes a pay cut because they love the game. There are usually incentives hidden behind those pay cuts.

Now back to Sterling (who by the way did not take a pay cut to go to Arsenal). If you must know, Sterling only took this offer because lack of playing time would seriously affect his endorsement deals where he makes a whole lot of money.

If not for the endorsements, Sterling would sit out like Bale and Hazard who were happy to not play as long as they got all their contracts’ worth before retiring.

At the end of the day, every single person plays the game to make as much money as they can. Don’t believe the image laundering being done by publicists to tell fans otherwise.
