Research shows that cannabis and cannabinoids can help manage chronic pain, nausea, and some MS symptoms.What do you think about this. There are some Christians who smoke and think it’s Ok. Others say it’s wrong. What are you thoughts and why based on Scriptural references?

No. But it is a sin if the patient goes crazy and commits a crime because of influence of the substance, even if the criminal action is twisted to be a manifestation of a mental illness. It is also a sin if the patient acquires the substance through a criminal means.

But God gave humans the wisdom and where withal to refine this creation of his (the herbs and all) and convert it to help humanity medically, don't you think so?

The only sin men will be condemned for is the sin of Unbelieve. Not believing that in Christ Jesus you're forgiven and made right with God.

Medicine is only used when the benefits significantly outweighs the potential risks and side effects. And no medicine is safe for long term use.
Even a herbalist follow that rule.

Smoking anything increases your risk of many cancers.
Marijuana use is very addictive.
Marijuana can make you make bad choices and do terrible things.
YOU WILL BE HARMING YOURSELF more than you're helping your body when you use it. Deliberate self harm is sin.

If indeed chronic pain is your problem, you'd consider other safe and legit alternatives - including herbs. And more importantly, you'd find the cause of the pain itself and treat it. instead of just symptoms relief.

Plants are medicinal and useful for our health {Psalms 104:14} herbalists and other medical personnels knows how we can make GOOD USE of these herbs.
But at times medical personnels may be wrong in their opinions for instance transfusion of blood was approved by medical personnels at some time but God's word forbids intake of blood into our body. Genesis 9:4; Act 15:28-29

So consider what the Author of life says before taking medical personnels seriously their knowledge is limited!
