As people often said, there's always a first time to everything.

Soon, every set will want to revolt and start a fight with their trainers.

But there's anger in the country and like my people will say, HUNGER IS ANGER.

Imagine, secondary school tiny rats were able to pull this on soldiers, I’m not fully surprised altogether because Nigerian army are no longer army. Na vegetables come full their squad.

This revolt signifies how the once rigid structure of military education has been eroded to the point where students now challenge the very figures meant to instill order.

But on a second thought I wonder what the officers has done to the student to warrant chasing them.

The military are not trained with using tear gas , the police are better equipped and well trained when it comes to matter of domestic violence .


And you can't shoot an unarmed civilians particularly when they are underage .

Those saying soldiers have been reduced to nothing. In the school setting soldiers are not allowed to use force on the students in secondary school when there's a mass action like this. Let it get out of hand and you'll know that soldiers are still soldiers.

It happened in my secondary school too at CSSI in 2001 or 2002. The students revolted and the soldiers didn't do anything, not because they can't do something, but because they're not allowed to use force on the kids in such situations. It lead to the redeployment of our then commandant. I think the G.O.C. 2 MEC Div also had to come to school to speak with the kids then.

But in my opinion, I really don’t think that is an excuse for them. Doesn't army have more advanced training than police? I believe every army is trained in being an unarmed combatant in their course…and even though they shouldn’t use guns on the students, they can use other legal equipments to discipline them until their comrades come to their aid to contain the situation 💁‍♂️
