If the events of October 7 were indeed a result of the IDF's kidnapping of Palestinians, as you claim, then surely Israel's retaliation was also a consequence of Hamas's actions on that same day, when they entered Israel, murdered innocent civilians, slaughtered others, and took some hostage.
